Does DSA suffer the same super-long production time as SA at the moment? Just trying to curb my excitement if this could be a year away from reality...

Nah DSA is 6-8 weeks (from https://pimpmykeyboard.com/whats-new/). SA is about a year again.

Yes, I got the final quote from the SP and am currently in contact with vendors to see where we are.

I've also been trying to build up hype and answer questions on the Massdrop discussion page.

The group buy should go down early next year!

6-8weeks is for Dye sub I’m assuming. But with some of these being double shot, production time might be extended. Hopefully not though!

Thanks for the comments...

I finally posted the Norde kit. Please feel free to look it over for any mistakes; I admit that these layouts (Danish, Finnish, German, Norwegian and Swedish) were not very familiar to me.

Norde (ISO kit add-on)

As well as homing barred "H U N T" keys for Dvorak / Colemak layouts. (see OP)

These kits will be low MOQ (15 or 25).

So glad you're able to offer a Colevrak kit.  I'm sure it will reach 15 MOQ.

Big ups for the NorDE kit!

From a German standpoint most are correct (green).
I find 1 key wrong/missing (red) ( 4 with $ above) and (Edit: is included in standard keyset set) a few minor nitpicks.
Yellow means too big ( ^ and " )
Orange: the "sharp S" ( ß ) shouldn't be cursive.

Okay, I agree with these corrections, but most are due to how Signature Plastics makes their legends.

It's actually quite difficult to find pictures of different international kits in DSA (apart from renders). Here's my reference:

Mito Legacy international kit

The big caret (hat) and quotation marks are the same as their regular legends:

Unfortunately, for ß, I think that's just their typeface...

It's always possible to request new legends, but they're $25 each in the default typeface and probably more for custom graphics (I don't recall how much exactly).

Therefore... it will not be possible to do custom legends in this kit. That being said, I will ask if they have options for ß and perhaps other keys.

It does bother me to some extent. I have specified new, equal size legends for the arithmetic operators (+ − × ÷) in the Numpad kit, for example.

Oh it's their typeface... Well it's not that much of a bother I was just being a bit pedantic about the sizes, just the ß kind of bothers me a bit. I think I saw a non-cursive ß in other SP sets but I'm not sure. One thing you can do is try to strike a deal: Have them give you a discount for the custom keys with equally/properly sized symbols and sell it to them as an opportunity to improve on their typeface not entirely on their own cost. After all the reason custom symbols/motives on keys are so expensive is because they are usually only used in this 1 keyset which is not the case here! They can start a new line with properly sized symbols and sell addon kits with properly sized symbols for all their old keysets. Granted it may be a (very) long shot but you and others might profit from it with future keysets (since these properly sized keys wouldn't be custom anymore and thereby cheaper).

In any case still really looking forward to this GB :)

Love the theme! I'm in.

Thumbs up for supporting the inclusion of an AltGr key! :thumb:

The only thing I'd like to see added, if possible, is a 1u AltGr key to support EU layouts on orthos/40%/nav-cluster-60% boards.

Looking forward to the GB!

Thanks! Unfortunately, the kits are pretty much final right now... in any case, I think that legend would be too wide for 1u.

By the looks of things, the group buy should run in about 2 weeks.

Oh, 1u AltGr keys exist so legends shouldn't be a problem. I think there's just two rows instead. But yeah, understandable if not possible. Thanks for responding!

Just mentioning this, since it was asked a few times, about ErgoDox:

It's possible to source some blank dark grey (GB) 1.5u and 2u keycaps from pimpmykeyboard (the manufacturer of DSA Scientific). Also GX is very close to GB. Black (NN) could work.

I know the GB 2u's are currently in stock, but not the 1.5u's. I'm sure pmkb could produce some even with a small demand.

How is that arrogant? I actually did reach out to Jason(being that I work with him...) as I wanted to see this GB run and thought he could help. If you think that is arrogance, you need to buy a dictionary.

If you ever need help with anything I won't even bother if you think by doing so makes me arrogant.

Did the OP have an issue with my statement(which was said in a joking manner, but you seem to have missed that)? From their reply, there was no issue so there was no need for your reply at all. I just wanted to express that I can't wait to see this GB happen and happy that me asking Jason to contact the OP ended up working out and the GB is happening. If you have problems with that please see your way out.

Question for potential Canadian buyers:

Are you interested in the Interac e-Transfer payment method?

Paypal would be default, but if some people want e-Transfer we could look into it.

I’d only be interested in etransfer if it saved on fees. Will your pricing be on par with TKC when considering the exchange rate?

Pricing in general will be on par with TKC and in USD. Because e-Transfer is CAD only, by subtracting the Paypal fees (~2.9%) and adding 2.5% for the currency conversion (back to USD), the difference would be negligible.

It is more of a convenience.

Ah yeah fair enough, I didn’t consider the conversion fee if you’re taking USD but that makes sense. I’d say PayPal is tried and true and allows me to use credit card which I prefer so I’d probably stick with PayPal personally.
