These are our latest DSA Caps!
Been working on them for a long time and they are finally ready for production.
They are made from Marine Grade aluminum so they won't tarnish.
These have a high polish finish but we think a brushed finish is going to work better for finger prints. What do you guys think?
We are going to put them up for sale once we have a decent stock pile (Don't want people to have to wait with a group buy). It would be great to get an idea of who would be interested.
Cheers

The edges of the top surface don't look great. Do you have a picture next to a plastic DSA cap?
-
What do you mean "don't look great" ? The edges are blended with the two separate wave patterns on the surface. Technical very difficult to do. Maybe the perspective is confusing.

It may be the perspective, but it looks like there are ridges across the top surface, and the ridges cause some of the top edges to look wavy from the side.

Go brushed. Polished aluminum will be scratched up simply from being looked at, much less handled and used.
Is there a way to scale the production in a way where we can fill a 60% with them for under a couple of hundred bucks?
-
Interested. My one gripe w/ dsa caps has always been how thin they are, so this should solve that problem.

These look really nice

Brushed or perhaps blasted would be nicer.
Man these look so expensive to machine. Especially the mount. You could be making injection molding dies... Do you have any indication on price?

Ha Ha !
That is the design!
The "ridges" are a tight wave vector going across the tip of the larger wave vector.
The edges are a smooth curve from a plan view but have a wave from the side view.
Must be the perspective of the pic.
Take a closer look. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180726/5422ab70b865257db0c4b08526538d0a.jpg)

We are machining them ourselves so it's fun.
They are going to be around the same price as artisans. We have to figure out discounts for full sets. Brushed or perhaps blasted would be nicer.

Very possible. We are doing it on our own machine which makes it more economical and we are working on 3d printed stems. The 3d printing makes them more flexible for different styles of keys as well as quicker to machine

These are very creative! Awesome to see. Perhaps after I get this new job, I'll be able to pick one up!

I really wish these could come in SA profile :o
I don't own any DSA keysets...
