I haven't seen anything specific mentioned yet, but do we know if the recent delays in other SP production has impacted 1965? Getting stoked for this to go on my champagne RAMA M65!

I'm confirming the exact timeline for all the active SA buys that we've made payments for. I'll get back to you soon about this. This includes:

CAMPING, BUDAPEST, 1965.

Strong Spirit is still pending.

Hello everyone,

SP has given us a confirmation month for when manufacturing will be done.

Due to the backlog and such, we're estimated to get this in September 2017.

I'm very sorry for the news.

My only remorse is not getting more kits. I was simply envisioning putting this on a standard full size keyboard. Now I'm thinking I'd like to put it on either the M65-A or possibly a WKL TKL board, but I'll be missing a few bottom row keys for both and a 1.75u right shift. Who knows? Maybe I can score some keys that someone else doesn't need after this ships.
Maybe they're waiting for gasmasks and latex to get sexy again.

The world has become a weird place.

I'm looking for a Non-standard kit, so if someone wants to drop one, or drop his entire order (e.g. if it's TKL + Non-specialties) I'd like to pick it up. Thanks!

We'll have extras for all the kits when it comes around, but it seems that SP is delayed "again".

I'll have to confirm the date with SP again.

Also, to note, we'll be adding all our previous buys onto the new site as "inactive" or "outdated" buys. The buys will be up there as archival information, and will be used for updates. Following that, I'll be adding everyone to a specific product mailing list so people can keep up with the updates via email, therefore streamlining the flow of information.

Good to hear on the extras...I ordered alphas and mods, but have been regretting not ordering the novelties as well.  I will try to pick some up when they become available!

Well, with Penumbra and Hyperfuse coming in soon-ish, my hefty bill that I received and looking at the September shipping date I think I don't really need my order anymore:

So if anyone wants my spot (MOQ adjusted price) then I can contact jchan and we can transfer the whole order as splitting up will be a logistic nightmare

You'll have to buy extras from jchan when it ships, or buy from mechmarket if that doesn't work out.

I've just been recently informed that there are changes that need to be made, and I am currently reworking the novelties to SP's specifications.

edit:
updated all novelties and sent them to SP, hopefully they're all workable now.

Thanks guys, I will now try to get updates firsthand from Melissa since jchan is having some issues, and hopefully they will all be resolved when 1965 ships... or at least mostly resolved.

Yes, I had to make these adjustments to account for SP's tooling, especially the "1965" novelty. The original would've looked bad since it had pointed serifs that had to be rounded.

edit:
Made some minor tweaks again.

Has anyone ever made cases with chocolate or coffee colored anodization?

Been lurking this thread for nearly a year after joining the GB and finally decided to join the forums.

Not exactly anodized, but this is the case I decided to pair with this set: https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/filco/images/kobo/woodred/08.jpg
It's one of the Kobo frames available for Filcos called "Classic Wood Brown" - it's Japanese style hand-lacquered finish made with dripping pigment to get the burl-wood effect... it's gorgeous. They also have some other color / finish options that might go well with the set.

There are actual wood cases available for some boards on occasion, but I'm not sure anyone sells them consistently. Those are usually limited to small form-factor boards.

I know brown anodizing is possible, but I haven't seen it on a keyboard yet, though you could get a bare-finish aluminum case and have it powder-coated pretty much any color you like.

Ahh excellent I'll look into that.  Already planning a wood and brass build for nautilus so didn't want to do wood again.  Love filcos!
