Longtime Creeper, First time Poster
« on: Sun, 20 September 2015, 20:12:59 »
Hey all,

Just wanted to say Hello and get my first post out of the way.  Just recently ventured into the world of mech keyboards and I have been learning a lot by spending hours on geekhack.  Looking to buy a Realforce 87u 55g as my work keyboard and I am nervously toying with the idea of attempting to make a custom keyboard with Project Zealios purples.

Welcome to Geekhack!

Sounds like you are making some excellent decisions already!

Good luck with your search :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
