« on: Sun, 17 January 2016, 07:12:43 »
Hi guys, I'm here for try to built my first mechanical keyboard, but i have some questions like:

Here I can buy a PCB and a Plate for a 60% keyboard? The case I want to built myself, but the other things i have to buy and I don't know from here I buy...

A 60% custom keyboard is very expensive?

Thanks and good luck for all!

Welcome to Geekhack!

Your best bet would be to have a look through group buys to see if there is any current group buy you are interested in.  Although I think most of the 60% GBs are already well in progress and it's too late to join.  Although if there was one you really liked, you could post there asking if anyone had changed their mind and wanted to sell their order.

Or you could look through interest checks and see if there are any upcoming 60% group buys (looks like you might have done this already).

Another occasional source is Massdrop, although it doesn't look like there are any 60% kit drops running right now: http://www.massdrop.com/
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Welcome to the forum! There are quite a few places that you can get a 60% plate and pcb - Rowdy has suggested some good ones

GON and Winkeyless.kr both have offerings that are very good

GON has a 60% plate and I would also have a look at the one offered by sentrantpc

Yeah, shipping ain't easy living in continental EU. There's some stuff going on over in the UK, but as for Western Europe... Get used to paying shipping fees and customs taxes.
