I think I may be anticipating this set more that anyone...because when it's over, I will be switching gears for a bit...it may be time for 'unplugging from the system' for the next key novelty...

Any idea when this will move to group buy? I know it'll take a bit for production and the GB to run, but I'd love to be pressing some Fallout keys for Fallout 4  ;D

September 1st and will run for only two weeks

Whether my wallet likes it or not I will get these keycaps, I think the best coarse of action is to not look at the bank statement. :))

Time for some subtle psychological persuasion...

BUY THEM ALL

Well, the core pack is the heart of the GB, and it's not THAT expensive, so I think it's worth getting. And you'll then have a Lucky38 cap and 12 different Nuka Colas. :D

Haha, I like Lucky 38 just fine. It just looks weird to me when I try and picture it in any of the other colorways used. Have a pretty good spread with the casino colors.

I kind of wish the core sets, wasteland and junktown sets were all one set.. and all the Irradiated caps in another set. I'm fearful some of them won't hit 100. Based on previous rounds do you think each of these will reach moq?

I don't think I'd ever go for any of this wacky graphic-key-button stuff myself, but I like how it discourages you from looking at your fingers when you type. For that to make any sense, you'd have to be using a dingbats font with the same images as the keys.

Yes. I believe they will not only meet but exceed the MOQ.

As stated before, I set the MOQ because it provides no nonsense pricing for the sets.

Because this Group Buy will be MOQ dependent, would everyone like to be invoiced as it goes along, or at the end?

I can register the paid orders as it goes so that everyone can see where we are...

Thoughts?

I don't mind as long as the actual amount that goes out my account is the lowest pricepoint reached for each set.

I just realized why I didn't want to do it this way...if one set doesn't get to 100 I will have to refund each and every invoiced for the amount...that could turn into a mess real quick...

You could do something similar to what engicoder did with Rad Hard -- give people a pseudo-Massdrop-style option to "commit to buy" at a certain order quantity threshold in your order form.  I assume you're doing a Google form.  Just set it up like this:

- SA Row 3 Core Set -
Commit to Buy at:
  • None
  • 25 orders ($27 US)
  • 50 orders ($20 US)
  • 100 orders ($17 US)
  • 150 orders ($15 US)

- SA Row 3 Wasteland Wares Set -
Commit to Buy at:
  • None
  • 25 orders ($18 US)
  • 50 orders ($13 US)
  • 100 orders ($10 US)
  • 150 orders ($8 US)

You get the idea.  "None" is the default option.  I pulled most of those prices out of my robot butt.   :-X

This will be much harder for you to organize during the order period, but it will mean basically ZERO refunds by the end because you can wait until the order period is closed and just send out one-time invoices.  If you want you can keep a running tally (this is a lot of work) in the GB thread and give people a 24-hour window at the end to change their minds and "convert to Buy" if a set didn't meet the MOQ they chose but they still want to get in on it (assuming it will be made).

Let me know if you want help.

Wow, this is getting complicated fast...

Would anyone like to order them in singles instead. That would mean that each and every keycap would have its own ability to either be made or not...

It's easy enough to setup that kind of form...I think, and possible to have running totals done automagically but pulling the names out might be a bit tricky.

What if you did separate identical forms for the different buy in points? So then you just grab emails from all the forms up until the last tipping point and send out invoices? That way you can just look at the number of form submissions for each level and total them up easily.

Alternatively - don't invoice until you hit your base tipping point, if we never get there we never invoice?

This thing did grow kinda big.  I mean, you are the one who has to deal with it, I wouldn't pick anything too complicated for a one man team.
Maybe it would be best to wait for PMK (or is that still months off?) if MassDrop really isn't an option for you.

Individual keys do scare me though, guessing you'd limit that to the colorway options and keep the base sets+radiation sets?

I think I will stick with plan A and keep the totals running as it goes, but invoice everyone at the end. After all this one will only run for two weeks...100 MOQ per set should not be that hard...especially when considering the irradiated vaults are all same color same family...

SP are all backed up with SA profile orders at the moment. Retro is delayed due to a logistics fault, they ran out of brown plastic. Then they've still got Jukebox and then.... a MASSIVE number of Carbon sets.

I really hope they'd be able to squeeze this in in between the big orders, so we could get these relatively soon. I want 'em all and I want 'em NOW! :D
