I don't really know what to think about the opaque/jelly choice. I'm not a big fan of transparent but I've never tried them.

Dolch colors sounds sweet! Im confused if you meant semi-opaque/jelly or real opaque tho?

Imo ever so slightly transparent (so semi opaque/jelly) would look great for pretty much all color options. (So basically not see through but transparent enough to let light pass thru or diffuse light)
Im not a big fan of completely transparent either tbh, but it also depends a lot on the color. (I imagine white not to work great since it might be just clear, while dark purple for example would probably work better)

Doing Dolch colors could even be an idea for themed GBs. So you could have Dolch themed colors for one GB, Miami themed for the next just as an example. So every GB would be two matching colors, that also go together as a set basically?

I would very much love a bright (Hyperfuse style) Cyan. Together with (light) smoke and purple this would probably make for some sweet Hyperfuse add ons or a Hyperfuse inspired mix! 

I love the themed pairs GB idea. Buy two full sets, and it's still cheaper than ABS Doubleshot or PBT. Here are some pairs that have already come up:

Lime Green / Purple
White / Orange
Dolch
Miami

I'm not a big fan of the jelly to be honest. I prefer when the light glow from under the caps without passing through. IMO it looks like a mess when the light passes through but that's just my opinion.

I think some kind of smoky translucent dark grey color would be cool. I'd be in at that price point.

I've never used POMs before but may or may not get a few with my order from imisto to try out... 

Guessing from only two typing videos Ive seen (one of which was Lastpilot's CrytsalTKL and both used PC/Acrylic cases) it seemed to me like they have quite a distinct and imo pleasing sound to them.
It would be nice if someone with experience could elaborate on this, but to me the 'tone/sound profile' sounded less shrill (deeper tone) and even kinda muffled. It might also heavily depend on the non metal cases used on those builds so I might be very wrong associating the keycaps with this tho...

Yes, POM is very dense and thus heavy and deep-sounding. I've got a stock set on a modern Cherry G80-1800 with black switches. It's kind of like typing on tom-toms.

IMO sticking to full one color sets would probably be the best.

Since the estimated price is very reasonable you could just pick up multiple sets to mix and match as you want which would also result in more unique/creative combinations being used.
If the GB will be done with one or two colors at a time it gets a nice timeline/collecting vibe and won't hurt you wallet too much to add another color to your collection like maybe every two month. =)
In addition doing only two full sets at a time should also help to reach MOQ, since full sets would be appealing to people that want to use it stand alone as well as people that want to mix and match. (while for example having two colors standalone as well as mixed would split the interest between the two and both may potentially not reach MOQ)

I agree. Mixing and matching whole sets to obtain desired results makes more sense -- the simpler the production, the better. And for the projected price, I'd be in for multiple sets and colors!

Yeah I like this idea as well but like most said the less complicated the better. Running multiple set with a uniform color may help us reach the MOQ faster. In the end, you just have to buy each set with the color you're looking for and then mix it to your personal taste. ^^

Right, I was thinking to stick with single solid color sets. While some people will like lime green/purple, or magenta/bright orange, or whatever combination... there probably would be as many that don't. I think it's better to let buyer decide which mix and match... considering 2 sets cost about same as one set we are used to around here I don't think it should bother so much to have to get two set.

I would say that $80 bucks is reasonable if we want to run a bunch of colours. I expect people will want to buy multiple sets to get all their favourite colours so 100 might be pushing it.

Each keycap color has it's own MOQ of 300, which is why I was concern about offering more than one color at a time. It's no so easy as with the PBT able to offering multiple legends option to entice orders, as here it is blank only. But, we have the low price that should help.

I agree. There should be a poll on this thread to pick one color which will be offered first, then once the MOQ is reached another poll could be started for the second color to be offered.

If it does, then maybe we just run white jelly and maybe solid white if they can do it. We can dye the other colours ourselves if need be.

I agree it should be one or two one color sets at a time to get the maximum interest and best chances to hit MOQ.

I still kinda think doing two at a time wont hurt number much and on the other hand might even help to get interest for certain sets.
Like for example if you did Old white and Teal together, or say Dolch colors, the combination might also spark more overall interest while for example black alone might not be as appealing to some people.

So in a way I even believe running two complementary sets a time might helping reaching MOQ honestly.
But then again your way more experienced in this Ivan so we trust your choice for what will be best in the end!

OTOH, The low price of these sets lends them to mixing and matching, so being able to grab more than one color at a time should help generate interest. Imagine a GB thread where people can arrange trades with others as they decide which colors they're going to buy. The hype would be of the charts, especially if you pre-announce the colors that will be offered in upcoming rounds. It could be a ton of fun!

We need to embrace the transparency of the material.
An ISO enter would be very nice, it would be impossible to find a set that looks nice with semi transparent keycaps. Also we need to understand how thick is the plastic and how does it sound.
