Milkshake has to be white with colored accents. I thought about adding orange novelties and colored accent for caps lock etc. but the kits are massive enough imo.

I'm definitely in for this. After hearing how nice KAT profile sounds and feels, i've been waiting for a KAT set anxiously. This set looks great, can't wait, any idea when this will go into GB?

I'm so in for this! Would it be possible to add a colored tab key so that we can have all colored mods with standard/hhkb layout? That's the only key that doesn't have a colored variant in any of the kits. And maybe add a colored caps lock too but using a colored ctrl in its place is no big deal either.

For Preonic like keyboards you may want to add R1 ESC to Nomad.

But I really hope you will split ortho off in its own kit. Nomad is getting so huge I'm starting to fear the price. Please have a look at SA Laser for an example. It has a good separate ortho and 40s kit.

Yes, maybe you have to separate 40s/5os and Ortho. For someone who want to buy base kit+ortho, having 2 6.25u space bars is really meh

It would create duplicate kits to handle but maybe it would be cheaper than manufacturing the molds.

Or are the molds the only solution?

TBH i would buy every kit if they were flat, even if I would not use it. Makes it easy to switch to another keyboard in the future.

Yes, KAM would be preferred but you could use KAT R3 it would be just slightly off center.
Doubt you could feel/see that it unless looking for it.

Then I would have to create duplicates alphas and other child kits with flat row disposition too then. I don't think that it's the best solution.

A solution would be to do a Mono-Legend kit as I did with DSA Milkshake.

That would solve it for the international kit, but I was also thinking about Colevrak (and Baguette). Since Numpad was already extended, I am just wondering if most people are going for Weirdo or regular alphas. I said it before, but I think a great part of the identity of this kit are the Weirdo alphas.

So part of the identity is definitely the font.

The appeal of that part is subjective.

But do you intend to buy other layout kits besides mods and regular alphas? If not, it shouldn't really matter to you what the extended layout kits are based upon.

Hi! I'm a long time lurker but I created this account to say that I'm pretty hyped for a KAT azerty keyset!
I just wanted to point out that the default character on the "8" key of the numrow on the azerty layout is an underscore (instead of the backslash). Not sure if this is intentional?

i'm really interested in this, but just to confirm, the caps are be pretty white yeah? i've seen some pictures of dsa milkshake and some of them seem a bit beige, but that may be strongly depending on the lightning. i have a picture in my head and white caps play a big role in it.
this will also be my first KAT set, so even if the color may not fit a 100%, either way i'm in to try the profile
