I got this today.  I'm pretty sure they retired it because there was soooooo much gunk under the middle keys that the keys literally wouldn't press down all the way.  You would have thought it was a worn out rubber dome.  Either way, I scavenged the keys and threw this in the dumpster.  Gross.

It was pretty bad. The black switches on it have turned a kind of grey/blue. I'll have to get some more pictures when in home.

Very weird lighting if that is indeed what he has on there... Looks grey... With that . Del key, I wonder if they're off of some sort of rare G80-1800.

Those are keycaps from a 1800s board. I'm just playing with some black & white effect on PS.

That's 3 gamer sets orange, 104 black set, tkl white set. 3 blue gamer and full R3 left I suppose. I know of one Canadian still waiting and an Australian.

These from kmiller8:

And these from KeyPop:

Thank you to both of them :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

you know there are tags in the file that say that stuff right? if on the computer "sort by date" would work too.

My turn to facepalm.

Cos there are some photos he likes to print out........... and without dates he forgets when it was taken, so standard for every photo taken theres a date.

Just for him

Well that's definitely the purple one...I tried to match up the colors as close as possible, sorry if it looks a bit off - between camera and monitor settings its nearly impossible to capture the exact color for everyone.

Sweet, looking on wikipedia the color is closer to "Pearly purple" or "Thistle". But both are still technically purple ^__^
