Post your Rubber Domes!
« on: Sat, 07 May 2016, 18:48:26 »
i feel as if rubber domes don't get enough love around here.  post 'em up.  don't worry... this is a safe place.

i'll kick off the thread with my logitech g15 gaming keyboard:
intelligent cable management, illuminated characters allow you to play late into the night, create useful macros on the fly, logitech-exclusive gamepanel LCD technology

What did you do for the artisans on the numpad? Is it slider over dome or did you just put them on top of the key?

Only one that matters. Untainted, unmolested, unflipped. Seriously, there are some real monsters on this site that do awful things to keyboards.

I think your keyboard is dirty.
What are those black stains all over your keycaps? When did you last clean your caps?

Just make sure you lubricate your virgin well with Krytox before use. It greatly improves feel.

If you really want the best feel from your HHKB Pro2 Rubberdome, make sure to place the spacebar in the proper orientation, as displayed below. The fish oil lubricates your switches to give them the
smoothest feel possible.

Please pay no mind to photekq. He clearly doesn't understand the true power of the spacebar flip.

the great thing about real rubberdome boards is that people can't be pulling out their spacebars and flipping them the wrong way.

I agree. A good example would be photekq's post earlier in this thread. Silly people using their spacebars the wrong way. Sigh.

I knew it was like that! You all keep the good boards in boxes protected, afraid not to scratch them and take them out only for unrealistic photo sessions, while the rest of the time you type on rubberdomes!
I knew it was like that!  >:D

Sir, your space bar is defective.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But thatís incorrect. Itís in HHKBís slogan, but when Americaís cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
