Keyboards That Offer Matias Switches?
« on: Wed, 22 March 2017, 10:49:58 »
I was thinking of getting a keyboard with matias switches but so far the only ones I've seen with it is a planck (not my thing) and the matias brand keyboards. What other ones are there?
relax bro.. no one will bite ur head off on geekhack.. this is not that kind of community...   hahahahahahaha

Though tp4 will personally chew you out if you start selling $60 orings.

KB Paradise makes a tkl and a 60% with these switches. https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_list&c=113

In stock there, have to ignore the matias ones

There's also the Keyboardio Model 01, though it's not in mass-production stage yet (but soon).

Keyboard Paradise (KBP) offer them in 60% and TKL layouts. The V60 and V80.

I had the V80 with quiet clicks; It's a good keyboard but the lock lights would act weird sometimes although this didn't seem to actually affect the lock-keys.

The Clueboard supports Matias switches. I'm in the middle of building one with vintage Alps Oranges. Biggest problem with this right now, they don't have any Matias plate for sale. So it might be a bit of waiting.

KBP V60 and V80 are the only two off the shelf option I am aware of. If you don't mind soldering, TMK Alps64, Infinity 60 and Clueboard PCBs all support Alps/Matias. Infinity 60 also has a bonus feature: because of the tight tolerance, you don't even need soldering. You can just plug in an Alps switch and it will work, making it basically hot swappable.
TMK Alps64 w/ Matias Quiet Switches in KBP V60 case.
Infinity60 with SKCM Orange Switches w/ TMK.
CM Storm QRF w/ Frosty Flake controller, Cherry MX Blue Switches and TMK firmware.

Coming:
Ellipse Model F F62.
