If it works, then worth it including shipping. When M2's sit unused for a few years, the capacitors could fail. There have been M2's that had been taken out of unopened boxes and did not work.
It could be repaired but it is difficult to open - it is held together with lots of snaps, and it is almost impossible not to snap one off by mistake. You would also need to be careful with all the loose buckling springs, and be careful when putting the keys back so that you don't squash a spring against the edge of its barrel.
BTW, the keys are not contoured and it is a louder keyboard than the regular Model M. Only the buckling spring modules inside are interchangeable with the classic Model M.
