Plates and PCBs are both waiting for final confirmations on details before payment goes through. JOlimon said he should be going to pick up the acrylic next week, which he has to borrow a truck in order to do so since the budget96 order required 8640in³8640in³ of acrylic. Keep an eye out for him to post gnarly pics of that ordeal on reddit.

We're unfortunately still waiting on GMK's invoice manager to be from leave before we can order stabs. This might be affecting other GBs as well if they're waiting for invoices to submit their payments as well.

Ah good, the ol' single-point-of-failure meme of Supply Chain Management...

Nothing really notable going on at the moment, things are sitting in production and I'm waiting for components to start being shipped to me.

Barring any issues, like the plane they're gonna be on crashing, there should be plenty of extras available.

Donut do you have any updated ETA's on when things are expected? I am kinda excited to know there being shipped via air and not sea. I am guessing thought for something so lightweight air is most likely the cheaper option.

No solid ETA yet, JOlimon is still working his way through tons of acrylic cutting and the PCBs should be going through assembly right now. Stabs did come in this week after being stuck in customs for a couple days, so now I've got to go through and add all the washers to them.

Actually a panorama to capture JOlimon's entire shelf of acrylic for this GB

Pic of the acrylic on test plate cuts.

JOlimon said he's looking to have these shipped out later this week hopefully after working his way through countersinking the top layers.

In other news, plates are still working their way through production. Sheer quantity it making the inspection stages take longer than the initial quote.

That poor shelf RIP.. and thats a good issue to have this group buy was amazing. I am hoping we might see other sizes in the future. Like 75%. Maybe TKL etc etc. There does seem to be a big market for it maybe.

Unfortunately not. Both of the acrylic pieces I was bad at math and almost ended up going negative on pricing them, so I didn't even have enough to order single extras.

Nothing in particular to update yet. Plates are in shipment and should be passing through US customs soon, hopefully without a delay like my other recent shipments. PCBs are still in production/assembly and may soon be shipping out.

Small update, plates and acrylic pieces are here and I'll be going over them the next few days to make sure everything's all howdy-doody. Additionally, I've got an update on the PCBs

The final version of the PCBs has come in from fab and will be moving shortly to SMD assembly. I'm really hoping to see these moving along before too long.

I decided on the 70g Aliaz switches and EnjoyPBT Russian/Orange key set. I built a Contra with the Aliaz switches and love the muted sound of them.

This is going to be my work keyboard, so I decided to go with heavy Zilents. As for caps, I dunno...maybe this will hold my GMK Laser?

Not quite sure yet. But I'm probably going to do lubed gat blacks (again) and might put GMK Plum or Hyperfuse Origins on it. Either way, white plates and purple leds are a given.

What're your ideas?

I went with some box royal's that I have lubed and slightly modified with partial stickers that eliminated the already very minimal play. Very excited to get this build complete and will top it off with GMK Yuri.

I'm using Box Navies in my TADA68 and Box Jades in my Planck. Outemu clicks in MacroPad and being used in my Gherkin build.  I've used Cherry Greens in the passed. I'm totally open to more click suggestions for the Budget96 build if anyone has any...

I don't have anything in particular in mind for caps, but I was thinking a more affordable all-over dye sub PBT set... they seem to show up on MassDrop fairly frequently and don't have super long delivery times.

Navys feel a little heavier, a little more tactile, and sound infinitely better. Crisper, no plastic rattle like MX blues/greens.

It's too bad you won't really see the purple pcb with keycaps on, it looks nice.

Both the Box Navies and Jades are superior in every way to the MX Greens. The click is crisper and thicker.  I cannot recommend them enough.

Not much to update on at the moment, PCBs are still in assembly. One thing to consider is that when I got my initial estimate for assembly it was based on an order of 100 PCBs whereas the order for this buy ended up quite exceeding that at 250, so that may be part of the delay. I'll update when I hear back after fabrication.

Grabbed a couple pics last weekend and then lost track of stuff with it being a bit stormy. Still in the plastic to try and keep them clean until time to ship them. Red and blue came out as expected, yellow leans a bit more towards gold than a saturated yellow, but it should still look good.
