SA Doubleshot Vim Key Group Buy Status

Hey everyone, I was wondering what the status was for the SA Doubleshot Vim Key group buy that was on the pimpmykeyboard.com site so I contacted Melissa. She replied quickly and said that they should be shipping this week!

Just wanted to let you all know.

melissa is AMAZINGLY fast at replies.  fixed an invoice for me within 6 minutes one time

Yeah, ordering ended on the 25th of April. Signature Plastics has three other group buys going right now though. A Star Trek LCARS-themed keyset, a set of Firefly-themed novelty keys, and a cream letters on orange keycaps keyset.

I received a notice directly from USPS on my key, which has since arrived. Mine shipped on May 22nd.

At the end of the GB someone bought a few hundreds of them, so my wild guess is that we will see the caps available in an on-line shop or classifieds  :thumb:
I bought 10 of them, I could spare 2 but I am in EU and maybe the shipping will be more that the caps :(
Just a heads up, AlinH and I are working on a new single key GB, part of it will be a surprise, but as a child kit we will have the Vim Key in DSA profile and 1.75u as Caps Lock replacement ;)
So I say just wait a week or two until we launch the new GB, it will be hosted on PMK .

Mine just arrived today via Australia Post.

Thank you SP for having these made, quite nice to actually have them in my hands.  SA is real nice compared to anything else out there.  Glad to have these greenies, might have these joined with the Nuclear GB when it runs  :thumb: .

This GB was a funny thing, Alin and I wanted badly a Vim key cap, so we contacted the user who ran the first GB (it was a piggy back GB in Round 4 SPH Space Cadet)  got permission to use the mold started the GB and were ready to buy all the caps required for the MOQ and in the end it was a huge success with over 700 key caps bought  :cool:

This week it should go on-line. Alin submitted the proposal and it should be OK.
The main star is a surprise, but one or 2 child deals are Vim, but in DSA profile for 1u key this time.
If you wish a SA profile, I might have a spare one :) , the package should arrive this week and I will know exactly how much stuff I have from this GB.

@suka: I agree with you, SA are bloody tall and wobly , with 20 SA Vim caps I was able to make a typing test and I was disapointed as hell :( And I ordered a lot of stuff in Round 5 :| and missed Granite....
For me DSA is perfect, flat, light, and for my weird typing style is just right
The new GB is pending, we are waiting for SP to aprove it in the final form.

Please excuse me if this was not the proper place to ask this, but could some one tell how much SP charged for international S&H of 5 keycaps or less. I want to buy the DSA Vim cap, maybe three of them, but I do not want to be charged more for the shipping than the caps cost. Thank you in advance, and again sorry if this is not the proper thread to ask, but I cannot find a GB thread for the DSA Vim cap.

Shipping was around 9$ for such a small amount for Europe, for a full keyset I payed 15$. And is a good price for international shipping, it pays more to buy more keycaps as novelty caps have also trade value, so it's a good investment. At is cool too  :cool:
