Filled the form cause I really love the case.

Reddit ppl are raging a bit too much over the price imo, but it’s definitely very Steep.

If you could really offer an 350 or less no weight option that would be very much preferred.

Incase it adds cost, you could also remove the triangle dots logo imo.

I really just hope the hole price debate doesn’t kill your interest in running this, because I would very much love to get one.

By removing the weight I think it would be possible to get the price down to around $350 but I am hoping to not have to do that. Removing the triangle dot logo that you don't like won't decrease the price unfortunately

I'm running this as long as I get at least 20 orders which I don't think will be a problem.

It's all down to machine time, tool changes, positioning the work piece, etc.
Each case is double the usual number of parts, so double the number of tool changes, etc which kills the price.
The VE.A suffered from the same issue.

Note that there are a few mistakes in the USB holes that will be fixed in the final design (different heights). I'm also considering make them more elegant.

I had mixed feedback on designing a tenting kit during the interest check phase. I'll probably run another IC with the GB participants. If 10 or more people want one then I'll design one.

Have a few more questions.

1) Any expected ship date?

2) Does the pcb fit hotlite sockets for switch swapping? Specifically zeals.

3) Will cables be included or will we have to get those elsewhere?

4) Can we get blank weights? I enjoy getting custom things engraved on my weights.

1) Factory quoted me around 1 month to have the units complete but Chinese New Year is in the middle so we will see.
2) I'll have to check

Hi all,

Just wanted to give an update on my plans for the GB:

The GB will close for orders on Friday. Minimum Order Quantity has been reached.
CONUS orders will receive free shipping.
International orders will receive something else to compensate or can have $25 taken off their shipping quote.
I'm working with a community vendor to create wooden tenting kits. Please email directly if you are interested I will be sure to get the pricing out when I have it. The vendor I'm working with makes really high quality products but isn't set up to take on a ton of orders so these will be limited. I will raffle them off to GB members who are interested. I will also release the CAD files if you would like to have your own made by some other means.

Thanks to all who are supporting this buy. I'm very excited to get these boards out to everyone and I think all who joined will be impressed.

I submited files for the order to the factory without this layout. That being said manufacturing is not going to start until after CNY. I will get in touch with the factory tonight and see if I can update the file for the right half of the plate.

I doubt that they have starting programming the machines and I know machining hasn't started, so I don't see this change being a problem and will keep you posted.

Update:

I wasn't able to get in touch with the manufacturing before CNY about changing the layout on the right half of the plate to support the shift -> arrow -> ? layout option. I will attempt to contact them again when they are back from holiday.

Cases:
- Looks like the factory is slowly getting back to work this week and part of last week. Production has still not started on the cases but I expect it to start this month.

Tenting Kits:
- Finalizing the design on the tenting kits and will get in touch with mah boi to try and get some made.

Another update for everyone. Currently the Tops/Plates/80% Bottom have finished CNC. So we just have a few more bottoms and the Weights before the parts go to anodizing. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hi All,

Picked up the boards from the post office yesterday and did QC and initlal packing for all of them.

Some problems I want to make you all aware of:

5 of the weights for the left half of the board do not fit properly. I am getting replacements for these. Orders will be fulfilled in the order in which they were placed. I will notify you if you will have delayed shipment.
The manufacturer pulled kind of a bait and switch on me with regards to the overall quality of the boards. The multiple prototypes I have received are flawless from the inside to the outside. The outside of the boards are flawless and look amazing, but there are visible tooling marks on the insides of the boards. Obviously these are not visible when the boards are assembled but I want to make you all aware and see your thoughts.
The PCBs are in assembly right now and should be in my hands next week. I will receive them and then flash the QMK firmware and verify all of the buttons are working as desired.
The cables are arriving this week

Oh that's way less than I thought, I can't speak for everyone else but I have no problems with marks like that on the inside

I had to figure out the layout manually, it’s the info.json in the repo itself.

I did all the layouts I could think of and a default one that I think has all the keys, but I could have missed something.

Quantrik just moved and started a new job the last week or so so he’s been mostly busy and unavailable. Your best bet is probably to try and ping him on discord. He is starting to be more active again now that he has internet service again at least lol.

So I just used this to flash my SX60. Everything worked except the backspace key. This was for the LAYOUT_ansi_split_rshift

The normal backspace spot is where I was putting that. Every other key worked exactly as I thought it would.

Any tips?

I honestly doubt I will even receive my boards before July 20th, but then again I also doubt I’m going to need replacements.

Had some time to look at the board. Everything looks pretty good, had a few very very small dots/marks. Haven't had a chance to play with the pcb yet, since I didn't have a usb c to usb c.

Hi guys, I'm having some trouble with the pcb.

1, Are there and if so, which pin outs are for reset/dfu on the PCB?

2, Was capslock programmed to a layer, as switch hitter is not detecting it. I could easily check this if I knew how to dfu the board, since I don't know the pre-flashed keymap from Quantrik.

I'm still waiting on my replacement part. You told me that it would be manufactured after the factory got through the QXP group buy but it's well past that now and you've moved on to other group buys. I don't think you've forgotten as I've sent messages to you on multiple platforms over the past 10 months and have yet to hear any type of response.

Just a word of warning about Quantastrophus for all.

The last message I received from you before this year was in July of 2018 stating that you no longer needed a replacement part. You then contacted me in January 2019 expressing your frustration that you had not received a replacement part yet.
