I pronounced it [to.pe`r] (X-SAMPA) but I didn't realize it was Japanese. Also, thats because its similar to how my name is pronounced: [zai.be`r]. However, knowing its Japanese doesn't help because neither <p> nor <pr> is valid in Japanese syllabary as far as I'm aware. So it must be from English or another language that's loaned in. You'll notice that プ is Katakana which is reserved generally for transliterating non-Japanese words, so that theory seems to hold up. That said, [to.prei] is probably the correct pronunciation.
There's no I in PRESS.

You're right, I have no idea why I did that. It should have been just [to.pre].

In french the "e" sound totally different. I can comfirm non-french speaking people are unable to pronounce the "e" as we do.

To make "Topre" sound like "To Preh", we have a "é" which makes the "eh" sound. So Topre in french would be Topré

Anyway we do not pronounce "e" at the end of words (mostly) so for french people "Topre" is pronounces Topr

A Japanese guy says "Topre" in this video. And you can also learn *correct* pronunciation of "Realforce".

Another validation of the english pronunciation (one in southern USA accent as well).
Here's an employee of the USA division pronouncing the company name within the first minute, he starts at 0:25 after the FL town's mayor intro.

You do know what the verb "tup" means, right?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I think the biggest problem with pronunciation is the English language, and the people who speak it with their laziness in proper pronunciation.

If you're hispanic and have listened to non-hispanic people say case-uh-dee-uh instead of kehs-ah-dee-ah, you know what I mean.

It's not toe-pray, it's toe-preh, as others have suggested.
