I'm surprised no one here can render a better mockup.  I wish I could but I don't have the first idea where to start with that.  :(

I really am digging this set.  Love me some bright colors!  Not digging GMK pricing though.  You can tentatively put me down for a set as well.  I will have to sell some stuff off if this ends up going through.   :thumb:
wut. i'd buy a ****ty IBM board for that green V2

Nothing's stopping you from running your own Handerbeit buy Elrick. This is an idea I was playing around with and thought would be fun.  Yes, it's practically a '90s Lisa Frank theme, but it's supposed to be ridiculous and fun.  Personally, I hate Handerbeit.  This was a fun theme that I wanted to see if there's a chance could be done, even though I have my doubts.

That's why I love it. I bought every Lisa Frank item at the Book Fair. No ****s given.

Me running a Group Buy is akin to giving a Pikey the keys to the Royal Mint, not too smart for you guys here on Geekhack, trust me on that  :thumb: .

Another small b1tch to you nubbsey, is that could you change your title of "Manly Unicorn" to something else because it sounds to me like some kind of new Gay Sex Toy (don't ask why I know about such things here).

It really is more 90's neon than unicorn to be sure. It needs purple spacebars, matching the rest of the character keys is a must. I think instead of the yellow WASD inverse of the rest of alphas would look better. Perhaps do the entire F keys row in yellow?

This sets is absolutely stupid. So I'd totally buy one if it goes with GMK because unicorns and cherry proflie is like unicorns and cherry profile. Wouldn't buy if SP though.

It just loses something to me in that change:

I suppose I can look at building a tamer version of the set into the set, like WASD, purple space bar, and matched caps lock and backspace, but the added cost may drive some people away.

Just putting this out there since some people are putting SP level prices as the most they'd pay, $65-80 isn't really a reasonable expectation for a full GMK set.  Expect a full set to be in the $100-130 range.  I wish it could be cheaper, but GMK is more expensive than SP.  That said, the quality of the caps is much higher and you get nice, thick caps that are the same level of quality as original Cherry caps.

If people are willing to forgo GMK quality and go SP and novelties, that is an option, but I'm keeping fingers crossed for GMK level of interest.

If people want the VERY best version of ABS key-caps then always go to the original makers - GMK  :thumb: . ...........enough said.

Isn't that what everyone wants here in this Group Buy, something odious and abhorrent?  You never know what the younger generations want or think is cool these days hence it will always be something that borders the edge of distasteful and disgusting that will attract them,  just like in my day  8) .

price is not that different after all, look at the sets that SP has, the advantage of sp over gmk is the moq and people that have only pokers or tkl size boards due to low moq they can save up a little. but if you take as whole a full proper ANSI set + tsangan price will be the same maybe SP will be 10% cheaper..... take for example Pulse key set and and add all the option to make it proper full ansi set + tsangan, you will see will hit close to $130-140, the only way it will drop a little if moq rises very high. So after all only people that don't need full sets and are typical ansi sets users are saving.

Wish GMK was as flexible as SP but they are not, maybe in future they will change up a bit.

Right now we're looking at something like 35 or so.  I still need to get better mockups, add an ISO, and cross post this at DT.  I'll see what kind of numbers we can get. It's still a young IC, so we'll see.

And ICs don't always seem to hit the same numbers that the GB does.  I know the numbers were much higher with my UV GB than the IC for it.
