How thick is the plating? And what is the purity on the gold?

Any chance for the plating to gradually rub off during use? I hate how I'm honestly considering this.

Not unless your hands are made of pure acid. I don't think our hands produce potent enough acids to wear it down, but I could be wrong. And I imagine it would happen over many many years of constant use.

Just don't use harsh chemicals on it to clean it. Care for it like any piece of gold jewelry.

How about 14K for the Topre versions? If they don't appreciate like CC's they still be worth their weight as "GOLD".

I don't know what you are talking about but 24K is pretty much as pure as gold can get.

Oh my... real bling. Real gold for the keyboard... That is something one could really be proud of on their keyboard, and the price is literally justified :)) Stunning. Will look forward to these things being on people's keyboards.

I love the smooth finish on that thing

It will be just like the steel run, limited to a specific number of parts. And I was thinking of starting it up tomorrow or Wednesday. I will give a heads-up as to exactly when, so no worries.

I know I just kind of popped the steel one up unannounced, but will definitely announce future runs for you guys ahead of time.

Correct. I am in the US, on Pacific Standard Time. (GMT - 8:00)

I will post a time and date link for the actual buy, so you can synch it with your side of the world's time :)

As much as I'd love to have a V2, this one seems out of my price range. :D I'll wait for the plastics one. GL whoever is planning to snatch this little beauty.

Some serious blingage. Nice. I have been getting into the Girldc keycaps with their metal colors and overall non-plastic look. I may go as far as to say that I actually prefer them to cli....*gets shot by geekhack sniper*

I liked the Brobot v2 in general, but this also looks freaking great.
