I vote for Melvang.

Melvang is a guy who did his time serving his country and now does what he has to to support his family, if anyone hasn't noticed he puts in way too many hours working and still makes time for doing projects and helping people out here at geekhack, again all the while still being a family guy.

Melvang goes beyond just talking about doing things ad actually makes things for others and come up with new and crazy ideas for things. He is currently running a large group buy for some custom pcb's that will lead to some very interesting projects and I know he has a few other projects he has shared some information about in the pipeline as well. He also was very helpful with the panavise project and I'm sure other projects I don't know about or have forgotten about, he also has an artisan working thread.

He takes his practical knowledge he has about how things work and how to build things and applies it to keyboard science which is both inspiring and also very informative. He also was pretty excited about the Toxic set and this would be a fitting item to go with his custom board he has been building which in and of itself is a very impressive project. Melvang has also always been quick to respond and very helpful if I ever had any questions about anything for him and while he doesn't post as much as other he is always quick to help if he has knowledge about something.

I would like to nominate jdcarpe. He has always been extremely helpful to not just myself but the community as a whole. He has provided me with an untold number of CAD drawings and given tons of valuable advice and insight. I would be hard pressed to think of someone more deserving.

Hmm. I am not sure who to nominate. Plenty of cool people, but should I nominate just someone who I have seen do awesome stuff, or someone who does awesome stuff and I interacted with?

I nominate Pexon.

I really like the products he makes, the way he packages and ships them, and how it is always easy to get in touch with him. Another reason is that I know that he really likes his novelty keycaps, so they would be going to someone who would appreciate it.

I'd like to nominate Binge,

He generously provided streaming for those of us who couldn't attend keycon last month, and despite some technical difficulties with streaming on twitch, he was able to ge the feed back up very quickly through YouTube.  I just remember how fun it was spending time chatting with fellow geekhackers who were also watching the stream, and it undoubtedly couldn't have happened without Binge's hard work.  Thank you again Binge!

I would like to also nominate Melvang.

With his very limited free time, he has been very committed to improving things for the community.  I absolutely LOVE the Panavise rail he built me.  I am looking forward to the Enabler PCBs he has organized.  I know he has other build/tool ideas that he wants to make available.  His limited time has not stopped him from making a big impact on to the makers/builders in this community.  In general he has gone above and beyond to provide things that are needed by the community.  He is a lot more reserved than many of our wonderful community members, but because of this, I feel he is not appreciated as much as he should be.

I appreciate this man and I think you all should too...  :)

I nominate dustinhxc. He was the first person that I really started to talk to on Geek Hack, and he made me feel right at home. He has also helped me vastly expand my Death Lives collection, even trading me some really rare caps. ;D And thats just to name a few of the awesome things he's done for me. Even though he's not the biggest fan of v2 Brobots (v1 FTW ;)), if anyone deserves these caps, it's him.

I nominate photeq.

There was this one time on steam, i messaged him to ask whether he is gonna participate in a raffle (I think it was a Brobot raffle, too  :p). We proceeded to have a really nice conversation, i also asked him a few things that weren't that familiar to me and he answered them all in a really polite manner. He was also talking about starting a business of some sort that would contribute to GH. He said it was partly a secret on what exactly he is going to focus, so i can't really describe it that well.
He seemed like a geniunely nice and kind guy that would help anyone if he/she needed it. Seemed very mature and talented for his young age.
That's it for my nomination :thumb:

I want to nominate CPTBadAss. If you were to ask him, "bro, do you even lift?" ... he his answer would "yes", because he totally lifts.

CPTBadAss is everywhere in this community. He regularly answers noob questions, takes us on adventures with him, and does a bunch of insightful write-ups and reviews.

Plus, Anson's a handsome mother****er, nuff said.

I'd like to nominate my Noko.  She's been providing her custom wrist rest service for not too long and has come through on each and every order with passionate execution.  Not only is the craftsmanship/quality something I'm talking about here but I feel like she just goes the extra mile in general.  Super generous person, polite, professional, and PRAISE THE SUN my wrists feel so good :)

She also commissioned me some time ago to draw her one of the most awesome thing for her anniversary.  A pic of her and her hubs destroying some zombies together in the post-apocalypse.  Beautiful!  Ah :) good bros are so amazing.

If more nominations are possible, my second choice would be HendyZone, for his very kind attitude and for providing GH with the lovely Leopold FC700R's and now the newer FC750R's!!!

Not sure if it's possible to nominate you Bunny, but i will of course throw a vote in for you too, so many nice group buys, a very direct and appropriate approach, gotta love this guy. The things he does for GH...

Nominating Chaosstep.

Korean member, that I bought my IMSTO caps from. I was quite the noob at Paypal, so he had to wait an extra week for my payment, and was chill with it the whole time despite other people waiting in line behind me. And then after that, he was willing to proxy a keyboard for me for free because GON's shipping is damn expensive, and give me tips and advice about Korean customs.

Mine would go to Hoff, CPTBA, Ivan, Rowdy and Pexon.

All very knowledgeable guys, Ivan is great with GBs, Rowdy is fantastic with newbies and Pexon provides a fantastic amount of stuff and his customer service is fantastic :)

And of course a vote for leesofi for being so kind as to give me one of his V1s ^_^

I would like to put in a vote for Noko as well.  She has done some amazing work and even accepted an idea of mine to do a base for my panavise.  I just got the steel plate, drilled and tapped my holes (304 is a real PITA to machine especially by hand due to its work hardening properties) sent it up to her, she is going to do it up in leather like a wrist rest minus the felt.  Some subtle tooling is also happening.  The biggest reason is I know that her style of working the leather takes some specialized tooling for each size of plate.  Mine has to be outside of that norm.  So for her to even take on the project is kudos from me.  Can't wait to see the final project.

My favorite pieces that she has done has to either be the skull with wings done in black and red iirc, the Aperature wrest, and Binge's dox rests.  All very good work.  My hats off to you Noko.

I would like to nominate Nubbinator for his generosity after the completion of his June 21st sale. I know he threw in a bunch of extra caps and bags to those who were lucky enough to win. Being new to the community, this meant a hell of a lot to me and I know that a lot of others were happy about their extra as well.

I would also like to nominate Sprit.

This man has been working very hard on his "PCB + everything else needed to build a keyboard" group buy.  He said he would offer his PCBs with everything soldered up, and when the factory MOQ was not met to get them factory soldered, he stepped up and took ownership of getting the soldering done.  I soldered my two boards for him, so I know how much work he committed to with this gesture.  Great member of this community...

I raise my glass to you Sprit...  :)

+1, he was very generous to me as well.  he has a lot of detail in his caps, so he has obviously been working hard to make them.  he gives so many away for free, i doubt he is making any money at all for all his work.

The detail on the heart caps is astounding to say the least, but I think he really just wants to spread joy to the community by giving so much away.

I would like to nominate theChemist. He offered to build 5 smallfry boards for free, and has been nothing but accommodating and helpful to me. As I recently noticed he does paid services, I asked him to sticker and lube the switches I sent to him, and he agreed, but with the money going to the Smallfry donation.. I have seen him be nothing but selfless, showing the community that he really cares.

I would also like to nominate nubbinator, as for many of the reasons the others have posted. He has been nothing but informative, generous, and nice to me in the short time I have been here, and his caps are amazing!  ;D He even likes to post cool boards he finds on ebay for others to buy!  :p

Maybe most of you don't know AlinH, he is the brain behind the SA Vim and DSA Vim/Debian GB's I'm only the PR.
I nominate him, because he gave me my first mechanical board, he placed the bid and found a proxy for my HHKB all of that while he was on holidays but the most important he makes each day at work in a idiotic corporation bearable, by having an intelligent and funny guy to talk with  :thumb:

I'd like to choose elton for running some great GB's recently and being uber responsive with PM's.

Nominating Ivan. Dude has brought us a ton of GMK stuff and always delivers as expected. Also got them to drop their MOQ, prior to that happening we were spinning our wheels trying to get full sets happening with them.
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

I nominate sleepy916 because he is a Bro! We have talked pretty much since I joined and have sent eachother many cool items. He just sent me an OJ V2 from his personal collection. Sounds like he has been waiting for me to get a Topre to send it. What a guy! Can I also nominate Glissant for being just as cool! He is a Bro 100% but you already know that don't ya bro! He has sent me Multiple V1s from his personal collection. These guys deserve these caps forsure! Thanks for putting a cool contest on!

Vibex, You are the man thank you bro!  Id love to give a nomination to you as well. Ive had a ton of awesome conversations and trades with you and you rock. :thumb:

To TJ for picking up after the GH60 buy that was just dumped onto him, and he deserves one for all the **** coming from people he has to deal with. Without him GH60 would be even more delayed for the community and he has helped every single person involved in that GB, completely out of his way while doing so.
