I would keep contacting them, and if you keep getting no-answer I'd just get a full refund.
The work people put into this stuff is awesome, I appreciate it, but if I bought something expensive from an artisan and they refused to get back to me in a timely manner I'd be pissed. You didn't lose it, scratch anything, etc etc. You paid a lot of $$$ for something, and didn't receive a complete product. Especially for something that is arguably a pseudo piece of art for a mech keyboard enthusiast, this would be unacceptable.
Maybe I'm overreacting, I just hate paying money for something and getting no communication when it's not what I bought. Even if they acknowledged their mistake and admitted there is no easy way for them to make an 8 for you.. at least that's something.
