All the vendors bought extra deskmats! Not too sure when they will all list them on their site, but rest asured there will be extra deskmats!

The Color Samples have been confirmed! The keysets is now in the production queue. The alpha result is on point. The Mod color result is on border where 159, and I believe is within acceptance range, 2.3 DeltaEab. Basically it came down to my call, and I said yes, lets go with the color. I really love the sample colors and think you guys will too!

All kit renders have always shown left centered mods. I apologize for the confusion. It was a decision that I made from the very beginning with the set. MetallicCharles's renders show the left centered mods, but unfortunately his queue for renders was taking a lot long than anticipated so I switched to Abec to finish the renders for the set. Abec's board renders were inconsistent with showing that and I apologize. Left Centered imo looks nice in person when sets ship with it, I've seen it on 8008, and Bingsu. All of my next sets coming up will only feature Text + Icon mods as that is my favorite look for mods after falling in love with it on Honeywell.

Sorry for not responding to this when you originally commented, the mods are ever so slightly brighter, with that blueish tone that we were going for in the renders. It's def not a yellow orangish tone, that could just be the lighting above my desk. I apologize for that. I do not have 8008 to compare.

Update from the ProjectKeyboards: Shipment date has been pushed back to Q2 2021, no definitive date. Will post when we have a clear ship date. Deskmats are in route to me. Won't have tracking details until it hits land. I'm hoping for mid December.

It was expected even before GB start that Q4 2020 was way too optimistic and it would take a year or so.

I wouldn't say it was way too optimistic, the set ran at the same time as Botanical and now is getting pushed back to Q2 2021 while Botanical is getting ready to ship. Botanical finished color matching in July while Ashes was color matched in August. But at the same time there are sets that ran in Dec that still have yet to ship. I would say that this long of a wait was majorly unexpected. I didn't think GMK would get this backed up. Hopefully they can get the new machines up and running to alleviate these extremely long wait times.

I dunno what the "usual" production time for GMK sets is as this was my first GB. However, I remember at the time there were a lot of talks (at various mediums) about GMK production generally being delayed due to variety of reasons (corona, lots GMK of orders, plastic delays from China and whatnot). At the time of ordering, I didn't expect it to get it this year, but its just me, I guess.

If you ordered the deskmat by itself then they should have shipped out. If you ordered the set or any kits with the deskmat then you will have to wait until the set ships for your deskmat to arrive.
