Our first Artisan keycap !

Hello guys,
My team and I just want to show our first Artisan keycap - we call it "StrongBrew" - with Dwarf style
We are still testing for the best final caps. So here are some pictures to show you and feel free to give us your comment  :thumb:
Hope we can make it on sale later this month  ;D

very nice!

you could obviously follow colors from popular sets, or go a different direction. i see more of a lord of the rings inspiration... neutral colors, bronze/copper/metallics/powder if possible, possibly a wash to get all the great details/relief to really pop.

also, a bit of a stretch, but they all have beards, so you could do the wizard colors (if you wanted to stay with the lord of the rings theme)

i also see old samurai coming through, especially grey/black ones on the far right.

These are just some test colors from us - I still intend to create some freestyle colors (obviously Lotr style)
And that caps on far right is my failed test  :blank: :blank: :blank: :blank: - actually I intended to go with Carbon colorway but it really failed. Thanks you for that artwork. look really nice for our inspiration
StrangeBrew - StrongBrew - lol, I just thought about dwarves - they always like to drink so why not give them a name with that idea.
But your comment give me a big blow - big thumbs up for your proposed color

here's another idea, for the next project... band symbols.... obviously not the logos directly, but there are a lot of groups that have a huge following, that have identifiable symbols that are related to the band, either the band, or from an album... the possibilities are literally endless. i haven't seen anything like this yet either, and i'm sure they would go like hotcakes.

pink floyd - prism, moon, wall, cow, pig, .....too many here to list..... (you could do a whole collection with these)
zeppelin - I (feather), II (celtic), III (rings), IV (zoso), zeppelin (blimp)
stones/rocky horror - lips
kiss - tongue, cat whiskers
elton john - yellow brick road, over the top glasses
AC/DC - bolt (red on black, not "flash" yellow on red), TNT,  big ...um... Sphere's ? (lol)
Ozzy - gory bat/dove/rat
Emerson Lake Palmer - big HR geiger references
Grateful Dead - LOTS here too

Bowe, Deadmau5, black flag, yes, green day, red hot chili peppers, beetles, etc, etc, etc......
... you could go on for days.....

I will take notes immediately. With pink floyd I think Booper she did it really dope with her idea.

oh, no problem. just got me excited for a min. (floyd)
....not that i'd be able to afford any of these unbelievable artisans anyway. i have to pick myself up off the floor every time i see one sold 2nd hand on ebay.... just crazy.... (....thousands, i'm sure that's the exception to the rule, but... unbelievable, nonetheless)

If you can touch it on you own, maybe it can drive you go crazy  :confused:
I had a lucky chance to touch and saw some really rare keycap from Booper, Brocap and CC - it was really beatiful and the freedom eagle cap is really realy (f*****) awesome, very detailed at that old time
Here is the picture I took 2 years ago as I guess
Credit: all of this caps belong to the guy name Shin. He was a big guy in our mechkey community 
And I think that's why I make a cap for myself lol and hope it can go well on sale too

wow.
i've seen most of those around the forum & elsewhere. the wingnut is one of my favorites too.

as far as doing well with it... i think, shy of coming up with something very iconic, it's a chasing game, the ones that seem to do extremely well/demand are the ones that follow a cap set release.. look at all that was done with the release of lazer, there were a handful of artisans that released a bunch of unique caps and were probably gone before gmk even finishing making the sets. (but there's a lot of competition in that area as well)

...so, go for creating your own unique style, stick with it, and be prolific.

Nice sculpt!

Big fan of Dwarves in the fantasy genre, so this personally appeals to me. The detail looks great, lots of potential for cool colorways. Looking forward to seeing what else you guys can put out. :)

Ah I designed it with my previous team - it took a lot of time but it's really easy to cast.

After 2 weeks of testing, at least I can have a perfect cap to update  :confused: :confused: :confused:
P/S: My Biggest problem was moisture,which "killed" a lot of my caps - nearly half of those.

I skipped the sale on this because the colours didn't suit anything for me but if you made one with a more them-neutral/life-like design (e.g. flesh skin, brown beard, metal helmet) I would get some for sure to go with my MT3 Elvish caps.

Thank for your feedback ! I love your suggested colorway too. I intend to make a samll raffle sale for that colorway.

I do!  Thank you very much for including a free one, on what has been your first artisan group buy experience.  I know I appreciate it, and I bet the others who went in on the buy will too. 

Random side note, my cat is named Pumpkin.  She's over 20 years old! ;D
