Ok I just got round to messing with the starwars emblems. Heres what i've done to the rebel alliance one.

Light blue is the outline of my design superimposed ontop of the original design (black). Red is my design.

Edit: Yeah if you look at the thumbnails....it looks identical...
Open up the image.

Yo hazeluff... since you've already got a working copy of illustrator for messing with svgs, do you mind making an svg with a larger circle in the middle for the japan flag? I'm assuming that would only take a second but I've yet to get illustrator working on my comp.

Is there a spec I need to follow? Like resolution of the SVG and if you want it black and white?

I dont mind drawing a large circle. = P

I'm using Inkscape. I've been using it to vectorize alot of anime pictures.

Why are the Japanese flag keys being changed do people not like them? I have a set and those are my favorite key caps

The old one was a text character of a dot. People wanted a much larger rising sun.

Maybe just a bit smaller, since in the flag it isn't quite so big, but that's a lot better, yeah black on transparent. Since its going on a modifier key the proportions will look better. Honestly its hard to say anything since melissa scales and positions it herself anyways... so that's probably good the way it is. Thanks man.

I have no idea, as I'm not running the group buy.

Its just I was so saddened by the loss of our starwars keys that I started doing some SVGs.. and then ragnarok asked about me doing the SVG for the Japanese Flag...

Hopefully not too expensive = x

Star Wars Keys at 1.25 for Win/Cmd/Meta. If it's a 1x key I'm only going to order one per board, whereas a 1.25x key I'd order 2 per board.

Hazel; your versions of the Starwars should work out pretty well.

As for the prices of all these keys: expect about $2-3 per depending on the volume we have. The more the cheaper.

Not for sure yet (gotta sell a toy) but if all goes to plan I'm interested in about 8 awesome faces. Also I agree with Ripster's earlier post, they should be done in spherical, although I'm interested either way.
Also is anyone else interested in LoD black on yellow? I'm diggin the LoD but got a color scheme in mind

Those are as close as we can get to 'Different' aside from throwing out the entire notion that they are starwars-ish. If you want to send me those SVG's and the new Japan flag that Ragnorok has convinced you to make at RColinTaylor@gmail.com then I will send them over to Melissa for approval so we can have word by back Friday as to whether or not it will be feasible.

Just thought I would throw out there that I'd probably be down for a bunch of these to round out my nav cluster. I'm gonna need some fancy ones to follow up the portal buy. Maybe a couple LoDs, since they were wiped from the Round 4 buy.

Awesome Face (Yellow and Red) are maybe my two favorites; White Keyboard is pretty unique though since its a keyboard... on a keyboard...

Well one thing to keep in mind is that with Doubleshots you can only have two colors so if you get into the more complex flags you would probably have to do Dye Sub.

My interest in these keys would exist if they could be made as doubleshots; I am not the world's biggest fan of just printing images onto caps via dyesub.

I dont think we can do much tho. Im thinking if we put the key color as a base color and use the 2nd color to be shade/highlight, they can look quite nice.

Bronze silver and gold would be doable. So would masters... but diamond, platinum, and GM wouldn't turn out very well, and even then only the basic hexagonal symbols would work. The symbols are just too complex. Believe me I think they would be really cool, I already mulled that one over but didn't suggest it because they simply won't turn out very good in any sort of limited color process. Even as dye subs they wouldn't come out very good I'm pretty sure.

Basically, nobody is going to want lower league keys, so why bother?
