That is because loafers are not shoes, they are small fluffy clouds that you slip your feet into. :D

I bet they're not much bigger or any  bigger than mine.

Now, I don't get to get the year of the snake stuff or the cooky overpriced Jordans, but I can get fancy nikes easy enough through their site.

I'm not much of a sneaker head, but I've been wearing New Balance 574s for as long as I can remember.   My running shoes and combat boots are also NBs, strictly by the fact they fit my short wide feet well.

My spouse swears by Zappos.  Sometimes they've shipped shoes so quickly they arrived before tracking info was available.  Easy returns and a wide range of sizes.

Just picked up some lightly worn grey/white/pink/yellow Nike high tops; I love them. Still on the hunt for the perfect flat sneakers, spent most of the summer in flip-flops because I'm lazy, and now that fall is approaching I'll finally be able to bust out my Roots Tribe Shorty boots again.

red wing heritage!

Those are some good looking boots.  That are neither wide, nor long, enough for my foot.

I do appreciate the tip, though.

With winter coming on, I've been looking into getting some boots.  The Tretorn winter boots look interesting, anyone own these?

http://www.amazon.com/Tretorn-Mens-Highlander-Vinter-Hiking/dp/B004O864CW/ref=pd_sbs_shoe_2

I'll probably just get a another pair of Danner boots, can't beat the quality and craftsmanship at their prices.

I share your pain. I don't know how many times I've had to blindly order shoes, hoping that they'd fit. Size 14 isn't exactly colossal, either.

I know for a fact I can walk into the Red Wing store and get a pair. I'm not sure how it works exactly if I wanted something else. Another workplace gave me a $100 allowance to buy boots and I'd just have to cover the difference.

Wish I could find cool boots in bigfoot.

Search your town for cobblers and check out the stores.
They are usually really friendly people and know their stuff.

A nice bespoke pair in your preferred style/color will fit better, make you feel better (posture, stress, etc...), and will last longer if cared for.

Was a Red Wing a few weeks ago, liked the girl, on her knees, lacing the boots....that was real niiiiiice.

But bought these instead:

Timberland Pro Helix 6 inch anti-fatigue waterproof safety toe. Has all the bells and whistles except for a steel puncture proof shank/sole and ruggedized toe. Will put an insole (probably a Sole Ultra Signature).
