This looks like the cousin to the mx11800. I just bought an mx11800, so I might try for this as it gets closer to the end of the auction, and replace the switches with the browns from the 11800 (or see if I can get a set from Cherry).

I recommend to get one or two or more. at the same time, better to get 11800 or 1800 if they are cheap. recommended model types for 11800 and 1800 are either -HFU, -HEU ( U at the last place is indicate US ).
Today I confirmed these are good source for making your own "Linear in Lighter touch" ( just in case you don't have negative feeling against it's design ). Mod. report will be sent to media>modification.

The browns are available reasonably from Mouser. I'm thinking of bidding because I want 2 sets of the black keycaps. Seems silly to bid the price up if someone else is looking too...... Any thoughts on someone buying the bunch and then splitting them around?

FWIW, I'm pretty sure that these are the keyboards used in the customer kiosks in Barnes & Noble bookstores. Not bad.

I've always wanted to try one of those but I'm not gonna pay $125 for something I'll maybe use at work.

I loaned a friend my G81-1800 with MY switches and I'm going to get it back tonight. That one might end up at the office, or maybe on eBay. I'll ask if anyone here wants it (for cheap) just to try out the MYs if I can't use it at work.

Ick... MY switches are crap. No tactile feel at all... I have 5 MY8000's, the ones with the magstripe reader.

I don't remember liking it that much, but right now at work I have an Alps slim keyboard that feels like it is made of cardboard and an Apple aluminum, so it can't be much worse. I'll find out later in any case.

It's way worse than the Apple alu keyboard. I could get used to the Apple if I typed on it enough. Not so for the ftsc.

another site by kojiro . sellect Cherry in the left frame and then scroll down right frame. 11900LPMFR( Wow! French version!) is listed there.

No sign for NMB yet. It will take time.
