Image linking broken or what?

Past few days when I try to directly link an image from another website it never loads. I have to do things the old way of saving to my hdd and uploading. What is going on w/ image linking lately?

I'd imagine it's because the websites you're linking from have their hotlinks disabled to save themselves bandwidth.
