KBC Poker LED Problem! Help!
« on: Thu, 18 August 2011, 01:06:15 »
I just received my Poker a day go through my purchase from Taobao, all the LEDs were working for a couple of hours. I left the ESC, Right Shift and Right Window etc LEDs switched on then, but when i got back to press FN + Space, the 5 Leds under Space and the arrow keys started blinking for awhile and then it cannot be switched on again when i press FN + Space to switch the function keys. My ESC key 's LED and Cap Lock key 's LED is still working.

I am reluctant to send it back for a exchange even if there is any because it's a long wait to get a new one. :frown:
I was wondering if anyone had the same problem as me or knows how to fix this problem?

Thanks!!:kiss:

By Cold Reboot you mean, unplugging the USB and plugging it back? I did that, the LEDs on the right still ain't working.

So sorry to hear that!  Try different USB port, then a different PC.  Play with DIP switches on bottom.  Maybe some of that will work.
I'm back.

Had the same issue. Flipping the DIP switches didn't solve it, detached the cable, cold-booted, re-attached cable, success.

Taobao = China

When u heard "made in China", u already can expect how's bad the quality isn't it?

True, true, there is a lot of crappy dongxi in China.  But I've been pretty impressed with PLU and KBC quality.  I think their value is much higher than others, like Filco.
I'm back.

Oh, I forgot to mention that sometimes it matters if I plug the usb cable into the keyboard before plugging into the computer.  I don't know why, but I have to plug the cable into the keyboard before the usb port on the computer or it won't work.

Electrically it makes no sense but it is what it is.

Good luck!
I'm back.

I tried everything to different USB Ports, Different PC, Cold Booting and Switching the DIPS but it still won't work. I was wondering if you guys the same symptoms of the right-side LEDs blinking before it started malfunctioning.
