Any chance for an aluminium RAMA Git Artisan on this one as well? Or do they not do SA Aluminum anymore?

Also curious about this, would be dope to pick up an SA profile Git artisan.

Has RAMA made an SA profile artisan or could this be the first?

Fair point, I honestly have no idea. I vaguely recall something?

- Cleaned up 40bit kit, remembered 2.25u and 1.75u row 3 also being used in other layouts
- Added F13 to Alternate Function Colors
- No longer considering merging Assembly/40bit into a single kit with Git legends
- Still considering adding a 2nd B to each Alphas kit, just feels out of place and weird for most buyers. I don't mind a 2nd B in a addon kit covering those special layouts, but in this kit setup, it would fit with the Alphas the most.

Is it June yet?

About that extra B...just put it in a kit of its own with the other alt alpha B's. Who says you can't have a 4 key kit?! Checks date

I understand your reasoning of not including a typist kit, it's just a bit disappointing as Oblivion is such an iconic set that I had hoped to get one day (personally use colemak dhm, which isn't covered by the previous colevrak kit).

Hurry and get the ones that are available on Drop's closet sale. They are priced reasonably and probably won't last too long now that r2 is happening

  • Is there anyway you could at least support US ISO with 4 extra keys in one colour on one of the mod kits, as you are with GMK Monokai Material? That way at least ISO uses can physically fit keys on their keyboards even if the legends are wrong. If not, then it  does exclude a lot of people straight off.

I'm seconding this, it was a massive bummer to see not even the most basic ISO support since the only board I use is ISO (and I massively prefer ISO in look and feel), I feel like most of the reason separate ISO kits fail is that they drive up the price too much when basic support of the layout can be added to existing kits for the price of a modest chocolate chip cookie

May not be economical for you since shipping is from the US, but there a few ISO kits available from Drop here: https://mechkeys.drop.com/collections/everything-left/products/massdrop-x-oblotzky-sa-oblivion-custom-keycap-set-45404?variant=31412011565100

Problem is that one doesn't support DHm either. Neither did GMK Oblivion.

Unlikely, very rare layouts and it would be 4 1.5u keys (two for each color) that are not present elsewhere in the set, so they would add a noticeable amount to the price.

Yes, I wish to make MT3 Oblivion one day. It just wasn't time yet as MT3 Susuwatari has yet to ship (the first doubleshot MT3 set), and I wouldn't be doing Oblivion with the existing legends so a complete retool of the legends would also be required.

I'd be all over that. I would suggest using the brighter white colour, as opposed to beige alphas for that set. But I guess the renders and prototyping will tell you what's best.

Oblivion never had beige alphas, or am I misunderstanding something.

I have GMK Oblivion V2 [Monochrome Base], and I bought it because it has low contrast thanks to the off-white legends.

It's my understanding that GMK Oblivion V1 used a brighter colour [CP?] for the alphas and legends.

I like the Oblivion V2 monochrome legends. But in an ABS MT3 set, it might be more fun to go all-out with the CP or WS1 legends/alphas.

EDIT: Yeah, I said it wrong earlier. I meant that I liked the beige-ish legends in Oblivion V2, but I think that a more pure/solid white legend colour would be better on an MT3 set. But you will have a much better sense of what to do.

Read OP regarding MT3. For XDA, I'd love to but to my knowledge XDA does not offer all-over-dyesub.

definitely not very economical but I was still thinking about it, only just a couple days later the non-monochrome UK kits disappeared, and me being me I'm irrationally anxious about any minor discrepancies between the rounds too

edit: I would be up as well for a small basic ISO compat kit (enter, 1.25U shift, hagoromo r4 and r3 backslash, regular r4 and r3 backslash, it'd probably start getting expensive including all the monochrome enters, though the accents are cool) and I think that'd be less troublesome than a more expansive expensive kit, but might also still somewhat suffer the same fate where if you start driving up the price past the base kit, ISO people start unhooking and lose interest in getting any kits at all because it seems like a poor deal for them. (and for the record I do like ISO-UK legends and would pay a small premium for that myself, but I don't see masses of people wanting to do so)

Split ergo boards are really not as rare as you think. All you have to do is look at some of the recent ortho kits (SA or MT3) from MiTo if you want to do it well.

Your kit already gets away with fewer keys because of the non-descriptive legends. I find it difficult to believe a few blanks would drive up the price that much.

XDA looks delicious, but I don't like typing on it either. Cherry profile is the other way around for me.
