For working in TV or lounge chairs (example), with your feet off the ground. You roll it in from the side. The monitor and keyboard are going to be lower finally.

That's a POM bar:

The vertical aluminum tube is a little bit soft. I may replace this with a more stable steel tube depending on user test. Keyboard ist a Keysonic wireless so you can take it off the tray and put it on your legs.

Looks pretty nice, do you have a nice chair to use it with?

It's not for me. The person who'll use it does have a nice chair though.

Parts aren't that expensive. It took some time to select and build though. I couldn't put a price tag on it.

That's a neat idea for a computer desk. Helps minimize any potential exercise one would get by walking to another room to use a computer.

If you're just going to sit at a computer all day, why not sit in a really comfortable and ergonomic way?  With the proper adjustment to the monitor and a good setup for the keyboard/mouse position it's bound to be healthier than sitting at a desk.  Of course there's always the opposite end of things.  It looks like it could just as easily be set by a treadmill.

There's a small company that sell similar setups, either as packages, or individual parts, I used them once, good quality stuff, they have screen mounts, laptop mounts, keyboard mounts, etc

Hey, that's pretty awesome. Do the casters have locks? I want something sort of like that, but on my floor it'd roll away as I typed on it...

How stable is it? My computer case is short, squat, and heavy (Lanbox Lite) so I'm worried about it tipping over.

The wheels are standard office chair wheels. These have always (light) breaks applied for safety. Unless you constantly slam on your keyboard or live on a steep slope it won't roll away.

If the computer case is heavy, this is good. The case is inside the wheel perimeter and is needed as a counterweight to the screen. I added a thread to the underside of the vertical tube so you could hang a workout weight there. Not necessary so far.
