It seems like a mix of rubber dome and mechanical to be me I'm sure I'm wrong.

I have had several keyboard with various "plungers" activating underlying rubber domes.

They can feel better than the ordinary kind, but they are no existential improvement.

Upside-down funnels and springs can refine the experience, but, in the end, they are not mechanical.
