Good thing we're rid of CRTs and _most CCFL lcd monitors.
They make the room too hot. especially in summer.
LED backlit LCD.
18 watt @ 0 nits, (lcd/led off)
20 watt @ 24 nits, 12nit / watt
21 watt @ 36 nits, 12nit / watt
32 watts @ 100 nits, 7nit / watt
77 watts @ 330 nits, 5.6nit / watt
Powerdraw seems exponential, although, not sure if nits can be used this way.
24 nit is actually quite usable. even during the day moderately lit. Keeps the room Kewl.
