Ever since it arrived, the space bar stabilizers on my Duck Viper were scratchy, but I figured that they would smooth out with use.
However, starting two days ago, every so often, when I pressed the space bar down, it wouldn't come back up unless I jostled it slightly.
Now my space bar won't come back up at all without a good amount of force, and the left side of the stabilizer squeaks loudly when I pry it up, or push it down.
I'm forced to use another, shorter key cap as my space bar, and avoid the stabs entirely.
Any advice as to how to fix this?
I'm using Imsto's stabilizers, which aren't authentic Cherry.

I do have an idea, actually....
Other things you can try: Remove the stabilizer wire and grease it (with pretty much anything. I wiped my hand off on the stab wire after eating chips and it worked fine). Also try to reseat stab inserts in their sleeves

Oof, I was hoping it would be something that wouldn't require disassembly, as I don't have the tools (I had it assembled for me.)

Could be the stabiliser wire is fouling something under the plate if it's the bent type? Either way I believe you probably will have to do some disassembly.

You can just desolder the one spacebar switch and usually can get the stabilizer wire out after that with some care. Some designs you can do it without even removing the spacebar switch
