Arrghh! I would rather have PBT printed then ABS keys if I am going for this white on brown.  They feel way better.

There is one little issue with PBT:

They have got no tool to make space bars in PBT!

I've asked about that. The material (PBT) is shrinking a bit more than ABS, so the forms must be a bit larger to make the space bar fit.

Another problem might be a different shade of color compared to the keys.

Just stick with ABS and get some more sets as replacements.

Signature Plastics is like Unicomp.

Unimaginative and creative as a rock.

This is my thoughts exactly about SP, they could make a KILLING by doing a little marketing here and doing 1 off sets for people on a quote basis but it seems that they do not want any part of that.  My guess is they are super oldschool at the top of the company and will not understand 2 years from now why they are out of business once someone else comes along who is willing to jump through the hoops to make the extra profit.  Im guessing they get lots of calls about doing some unique stuff but turn it all down due to lazyness/ sutbborness / inability to adapt.

Melissa is always friendly to me and answered nearly all my questions. Only in a few cases I had to ask more than twice ...

The only thing I'm missing, is a list of symbols they can do.

BTW: nearly all keyboard enthusiasts know SP, so what kind of marketing should they do?

They use molds, right? If the custom project required a custom mold (different font, symbols, etc) it could be very expensive. A small mold can cost several hundred dollars. If they're lasering the keys and doing the printing another way that does not require making new molds then ignore my comment :p

A friend of mine has his BB Torch in Comic Sans...I picked it up to play around with, saw the font, and gave the phone back right away. I can't take people that use Comic Sans seriously...

I wasnt saying they were rude, guess it came out the wrong way.  I just read up some more on them, niche caps like the ones we buy are such a tiny tiny portion of the profit they make.  Just ignore what I said before I will be busy removing the foot in my mouth.

Putting it into Helvetica instructions here.

Except that it's Marker Felt, not Comic Sans.

Trolling, half-baked custom keycap planning, image macros, amateur font e-peening.

In other words, your typical GH thread.

I been really busy with school. But if you guys can figure out what font that is or decide what font you guys want.  Also for the windows key/function we can't have commodore logo since that is probably trademarked.  We should figure that out as well.
It is gonna cost a lot upfront so maybe if you guys send me a pm, I can add you to list of interested so we can decide how to split costs.
This group buy was gonna be part of group buy 4 but since group buy 3 is taking a long time to resolve, I wanted to create a new group buy.

I'm interested, as long as the font and color look good.  I really don't want to spend >$100 on keys if you go with comic sans ;-)

I ordered a commodore key from The Group Buy #3, so I guess the trademark won't be a problem.

Wonder if we can get the same price for the commodore key.  We could use the logo from that or we can choose another.
