Not yet, packaging was finalized back in October, and it went into production soon after

still waiting to hear back on the progress on that, but hopefully it will be coming soon after the Chinese new year!

No you have not missed out, it is still in production with NK, and awaiting shipment from the factory at the moment. There has been a major viral outbreak overseas that has slowed down a lot of things, so we are still waiting. But I will update here as soon as I have word that they will be available. They will be going into stock available right away as soon as this shipment is delivered, no GB for these, so make sure to stay tuned and have your left clik ready

I think it would be cool for artists to be able to measure their stuff using the deskmat or like sewist. But perhaps pastel colour would be nicer to fit in to the aesthetic and look more different than a normal cutting mat.

Hello!

This is sick and I want it as my work mat. I see your update from around a month ago and am going to be annoying and ask if there have been any more updates? More importantly is this where you will update the most often, or maybe a Twitter or something else?

I was definitely thinking about trying to find a self-healing cutting mat this size and realized how hard it is/how uncomfortable that would probably actually be long term lol. So this seems like the perfect compromise.

Yes it is still in production, and will be available on the Novel Keys site very soon after the shipment arrives I assume, but unfortunately there have been delays. I will update here most frequently whenever I have more news to share, so please stay tuned

Good news everyone! Just got word today that the shipment has left the factory finally

it might still be a month or two before they arrive still from this point, but the good news is that it won't be much longer now

i came to say this. true, a cutting mat looks the same from afar, but i wouldn't want to use one as a deskmat

Chiming in again with a little progress update

I have gotten word that the initial first shipment of the black mats arrived, and the full shipment is right behind it arriving very soon!

it has been a long time coming to complete this project with everything that has slowed the world down along the way, but I'm extremely glad it will very soon be in your hands! I can't wait to get this project to everyone who has been patiently waiting for the release

I don't have an exact day at the moment, because I just wanted to post here to let everyone know ASAP

The green is the perfect color. Very nice.

Measurements are almost perfect on the vertical axis. You could definitely use this to measure things on your desktop with relative precision. Horizontal is off by 1/2 inch overall.

AWESOME looking good the measurements were something we went back and forth on for a long time trying to see if there was any way to get them tighter, but due to the printing process it makes that really difficult since the fabric moves a bit, but I'm happy to say we did everything we could to dial that in with each revision

The main grid may be imperial, but I did factor in CM along the edges on the opposite side of the major imperial measurements across the length and width of the grid

Thank you so much for your interest and support! Funny enough it actually was reprinted earlier this year already and I didn't even notice it myself because when I went to check the NK site it said sold out still, but they informed me it just sold out that quick that it was already gone again

but you can bug the Novel Keys team about it to give them a nudge to make more 😮 last time I was in contact with them I asked if there would be another restock round 3, and they said it might be coming, but more people asking for it always helps let them know it's in demand! I might still have one of the original releases left on hand for myself that I might be willing to part with.

Yeah of course! I reached out to NK about it but they said they didn't have plans or any in stock in the short term, so I wasn't sure. Please do let me know about that extra if you are still willing to part with it! I really love the design and it would make working on projects at my desk that much more fun with actual measurements
