Instead of fighting a losing battle, why don't we just lean into the whole climate change, wild fire, hurricane thing? Make some kind of dare devil event during wild fires in which stunt men ride motorcycles through the forest dodging falling, fiery limbs. Create some high-impact spheres so that people can ride inside the hurricanes and sell tickets! Make dunk tanks for polar bears in which they fall off their floating ice chunks when contestants hit the target with a baseball.

We could call it the "Climate Games" or the "Climate State Fair". All the proceeds would go to burning more fossil fuels just for the hell of it and not even bothering to use the energy just to speed up the process.

Hahahaha. gekha could sponsor a contestent, the choosening.

Primary problem is fossil fuel use is not the main driver of climate change, it's bad, but the PRIMARY driver is animal agriculture.

Other ideas:
Street surfing.
It won't be much longer you'll be able to surf down main street Miami. Instead of going under the pier you can now dodge light poles, parking meters and fire hydrants and boardslide the handrails and parked cars.

Mudbog 500
Instead of Baja 500 or 1000 in the desert hold the Mudbog 500, a race from Orlando or Miami Florida to the safety of Georgia. You can even have various classes such as fan boats, mudboggers and swamp buggies.

Tunnel water skiing.
Water ski the subway tunnels in New York, just hook a rope to the back of the subway train and hang on.

West Coast Bandit Run
Re-enact Smokey and the Bandit but instead of a truckload of beer you have to bring a load of bottled water from Colorado to Southern California.

California should just coat all their trees in asbestos and get it over with. Every damn year, California! Get your **** together.

57% of forested land in California is federally owned, they owe California firefighters billions millions in firefighting fees.

Federal policy is to extinguish all fires as soon as possible and no controlled burns, California does do controlled burns on state owned land, they often get out of control, the firefighters and public pretty much expect it, but they do do them. It's a lie that they do not. It's not California policy that is causing the problem it's federal laws that date clear back to 1910, even if the feds do controlled burns it will take several decades to restore things to balance and avoid this problem because you can't do it all at once.

Land in the West/northwest is very much federal, it's not anything like the East coast, south or midwest.
Percentage of federal land in :
Nevada 85%
Utah 65%
Idaho 62%
Oregon 53%
California 46%
Arizona 40%
Washington 30%

Compare this to:
Iowa 0.3
Connecticut 0.3%
New York 0.3%
Kansas 0.5%
Rhode Island 0.8%
