I've come to the conclusive opinion, that women cannot drive.
The number of times I've had problems with other drivers 99% of the time they are women. When my gf or mum has been driving out and about and I've been with them and they have a problem with another driver 99% of the time they are a woman, and they even say before we can see the driver; "bet its a woman".
Last night trying to get onto the train station car park where I live, two women had parked on the slip-road entrance to the station, on double yellows in the middle of the road, meaning that there was only one lane for cars to leave and enter the station/multi-story carpark.
They blocked the main road that you use to enter the station and all access to it, both were totally oblivious to the chaos they caused, and not a traffic warden of police officer in site.
Made my blood boil, they sat there for 20+ mins while I waited to be able to get on, park and then walk from my car to the station.
I wouldn't say women cannot drive. I do tend to agree that in the case of poor drivers, many of them are women, but I've seen some horrible male drivers as well.
As an East Asian myself, though, I do tend to agree with the stereotype that many of my people cannot drive. I don't think it's a genetic thing, more of a fact that a lot of them are fresh off the boat immigrants who don't understand the principles of driving correctly. However, some the best drivers I've ever seen are also of East Asian descent.
On the topic of horror stories though, I remember there was one time I was in a Chinese supermarket parking lot in Scarborough (land of horrible drivers) and I saw this lady get into her SUV, start it, and *drive forward into the chain link fence in front of her* (obviously she put into drive rather than reverse). She legit knocked it down, fence was bent, dirt sprayed everywhere from the shock of the moorings being pulled out. She proceeds to get out of the car, stare at the fence for a few seconds, look around sketchily, then casually gets back into the car and drives off. I will not comment on her ethnicity.
The funny thing is that fence was like that for about 2 year before they finally just removed the fence.
I am so glad I do not live in Scarborough/Markham.
