Hi everyone, I am the lead person who is responsible for doing the sorting for 9009, who was also the one who do the sorting for the Cherry Logo packs.
I believe I owe everyone an apology for the lack of updates.
TL;DR
SH!T HAPPENS, FIXING OTW, MORE UPDATES TO COME THIS WEEKEND.
Unlike the Cherry Logo Packs GB, this 9009 set comes with the GMK tray, and thus, whether it’s a good thing or not, it was delivered with a whopping 6 huge boxes, weighing 20 KG each.
So we (K, L, and Y) decided to put this boxes at Y’s house, and plan to sort the 9009 set during the weekends. We actually have scheduled to finish all of these orders in 3 weeks’ time due to the pre-sorted keycaps by GMK for this GB.
On the first Sunday, we start unpacking those boxes and start putting all the 4 separate/loose kits to each orders. It’s actually not as easy as we thought it might be, mostly because the tray actually couldn’t fit all the keycaps and GMK split out 3 keycaps (2x Numpad Enter, 1x 7u L9 Spacebar) into separate packaging, where we need to manually compile them into one of the LED/ESC packs packing bag.
The 7u space bar can’t fit in any of these bag if the buyer’s orders are without additional spacebar packs. To make it worst, we forgot to bring the cherry logo’s leftover packing bag over to Y’s house. (Unprepared, our bad)
Most of us have our own schedule, and so we only have time to meet up during the weekends. That wasn’t the end of our trouble. Since Y is living with his parents and siblings, we didn’t expect that his family have a sudden plan to travel outstation for a holiday, which make us can’t access to his house and do the sorting and packing.
Also, one of our sorting team member’s schedule is subject to his partner’s liking, that sometimes ruins our schedule due to insufficient manpower.
We realized it is the third week now since we received/sort/packing, and we know that we need to do something about this, otherwise eventually it might spun out of control and the delivery timeframe will be messed up and you guys will be unhappy.
So I (K) decided to bring in these boxes back to my home, although it is much smaller than Y’s house with limited work space, at least I am able to do the sorting at night and the progress will be much faster than everyone doing it in Y’s house during weekends. Hopefully I will be able to update by this weekend.
