My order's available, but I'd like to hear back from kins first to make sure I could still transfer it.

I have been in the hospital for a few days.
My son was sick. (encephalomeningitis)
Yesterday he got better and came home.
So I was a little busy.
Now I have a time for keyboard.
Sorry for late reply.

Damn, so sorry to hear your plight here.  Having one of your children sick is the worst thing in the world and I hope he has recovered some what since you posted this.

Appreciate all the info you're giving us here and I hope everything goes to plan from now on because you know what life is like, anything can happen when you least expect it.

Hey so what's happening with this? I'm Interested in a case(1800) even without a pcb, don't care if it's scratched(I can redo the brushed finish if i want anyway) if anyone was looking to offload or if there are extras? Just found out about this keyboard format/GB so I'm sorry if what I'm asking has already been answered.

Just send a polite PM to Kin25 requesting this unique keyboard and see what he says.

Only pester everyone in this Group Buy if Kin is totally out of them, even then do expect to be royally-raped - because this is after all Geekhack, the home of persistent Wallet Gangbangs that never end  ;) .

What Elrick says, with one point of clarification: while this is a great keyboard it is almost certainly not the last custom 1800 we'll see come up for a group buy. In fact, there's one running right now that's Asia-local-only, but I believe it will eventually will be opened up for international orders. http://deskthority.net/keyboards-f2/here-s-my-new-and-1st-custom-keyboard-for-gb-t10849.html

Hand-made 1800s are an extreme rarity, so enjoy it for as long as possible.  When mine gets finished, it shall be one of the items I take with me inside my coffin  8) .

Praise the LORD, because he has sent his keyboard down to earth, for us heathens to obey and worship.

The TX1800 is the BEST keyboard ever made, this one will be a Kmac slaughterer, even dare I say it - a 55g RF Killer, definitely the ONLY keyboard to own .........forever.

I did not mean active on the forum, but GH worded it to be that way and I took it literally.  :p
It's better to refer to it as 'last seen'.
Anyway, at least we know he's there and hopefully doing fine with his family.

Judging from his history of solid communication I find this is kind of odd. I hope he's okay too. Anyone in his area that can check in on him and see if he's doing well?

Yeah, lets all gang up and harass someone who has a sick child.

Maybe we can just give him some time and space to deal with his life issues? What are you wanting, a live stream of updates about the health of his family? Keyboards (and $100 deposits) are pretty insignificant compared to human life.

I'm well aware of that and I didn't mention anything about keyboards in my post. It was an honest gesture to find out about his well being. I don't even have an order but we've talked via E-mail before. I just wanted to know if he's doing okay as well as his family.

Kin25 is now in the same position as GON, meaning that he is all by himself piecing together hundreds of TX1800 keyboards, hence do expect no more time wasting here on Geekhack.  Not because he is lazy or being nasty but when you see an ocean of PCBs, Casings and Switches to solder and turn out all those keyboards to a high standard, then there is no time left except to go to the toilet, feed yourself and ignore your kids until all of this is finished.  We literally stole their Dad from them for how many months now......

That is why anyone who considers making and selling keyboards here on Geekhack know full well that it's a huge responsibility and shall take up all of your spare time like a black hole, never ceases to pull you in until the last keyboard is finished and shipped.

Trust me he isn't like DrugER and he didn't ask for full payment up front, which most want before commencing any build so he has shouldered the burden himself with his own money to see this through.  I wish him all the best and hope he can get through this giant task of completing the TX1800 series.

Shall I prepare the pitchforks...

Yeah, lets all gang up and harass someone who has a sick child.

I'm just hoping he's alright. Hopefully he is well and healthy.
Judging from his history of solid communication I find this is kind of odd. I hope he's okay too. Anyone in his area that can check in on him and see if he's doing well?

It's not like anyone is asking for a essay on the matter... You could at least let everyone know what the hold up is... Hell you could do it from the toilet!!!

Just bummed about how a lot of GB's are going over the last few years... It's irresponsible to collect (even half) money and be gone months at a time...

I'm not here to have a open debate, just venting... carry on  :-*

I have repeatedly tried to get in touch with Kin25.

I have a very big order with him (I understand I don't have priority), and needed to inquire/clear up some things regarding it.
Right now I have probably 5-6 keyboards that could be built, if I went and bought the parts from anywhere else, but I was under the assumption that this GB would have ended by now, and kept on waiting.

My projects are held up by this, and the very least Kin25 could do is take a moment to reply me, as I don't even know if I should be waiting for him, or buying the parts elsewhere.

I ended up getting very distraught over this, because the truth is, I put all my keyboard hopes and dreams in this GB, and gave Kin25 my 100% support.

When I say 100% support, I meant I ordered a lot of things because I felt initially, his attitude and responsible-demeanor was confidence inspiring, and I just couldn't help but trust and give him my support. Who knew that things would turn out like this.

I know he is not a scammer, but what really bothers me is the fact that Koreans, Malaysians and other countries have been receiving their orders, but he wouldn't even post a three-word reply to any of our emails here on GH. The fact that others receive their orders, but GH members have radio silence is very unprofessional, and I hope I'm not the only one that feels this way. I am really disappointed and saddened by this more than anything else, and in total disbelief that he would choose to ignore us.

Totally understand you here, although I only purchased ONE keyboard and sundries to have it made hence even if he decides to do a DrugER and disappear I only lost a small amount of money here.  I never buy lots of gear from any stranger here on Geekhack because you have no idea who he really is and how he'll approach this whole TX1800 build.

The ONLY people I trust 100% here on GH is BunnyLake, Codyeatworld, Matt3o, IvanIvanovich, Feng and 7bit.  These guys have proven themselves over the years that I have been here on Geekhack, so this new guy has yet to prove himself here but at the same time I won't condemn him just yet.

Like you said, he has finished other people's TX1800 so he is working on them, unlike DrugER that simply wasn't working on anything and just ran away with everyone's money.  I still believe Kin25 needs time to finish these keyboards hence I DON'T recommend a lynching just yet with all the pitchforks and flames.

Just wait another three weeks before we seriously start unfurling the hate, that this place can unleash with such ferocity.

You do not understand Elrick. He is actively chatting on the Korean forums and always on 24/7 chatting, replying, and stuff. He is literally IGNORING Geekhack.

In fact, he is online right this moment and chatting, like he always does.

This is completely ridiculous.

This is completely ridiculous.

Yeah he seems oblivious to his commitments here on GH.

If he turns out to be another DrugER (still leaving it another three weeks before officially listing this as theft) maybe it's time we here on Geekhack STOP supporting anymore (foreign) Korean Group Buys, due to the lousy track record they have here thus far.

Just confused why he would make all the keyboards for locals yet ignore us in some way, with this type of behaviour he actually delivered to those who are situated near him, unlike DrugER which made nothing for nobody.
