Very interested with how you would name the braiding patterns. The colours are dead set must have though =DI don't think I will name the pattern, but I did name the braid if you check the first post in the IC thread.

I've updated the first post. I've added a count down timer for the sale, it is now about 24 hours from the sale.
I've also named those different pattern of braid.
No matter what length and what braid pattern, the limit will be 40 cables.

I don't have the colors to match a Hyperfuse set, and I got no idea custom order that specific color is going to cost from a factory, and also the moq of how many hundred metres of it. And not all wires are suitable for braiding.

So logically and in reality it will be a little shorter when braided. But I always measure a little longer to compensate for that, still it is a little short.
But if you measure tip to tip of the connectors, then surely it won't disappoint.

There's not much combination that looks nice on flat #1, it looks best with single color, while the other 2 can look very different with different color combination and arrangement.

1-4 is ideal imo if you want each color to show. If you're using 2-3 colors, you can even choose which color you want it to be more visible, I can adjust the number of strand of each color.

Any color other than those, I might need to find a factory to custom fabricate it. And that lead to another problem, cost. I'm still a college student and I do this as a hobby and part time to fund my keyboard purchases. So, I don't have that much money. Besides, I've spent quite a bit of time looking for wires that are just springy enough to braid some nice cables, and I'm not sure how many trial and error with the factory side to get it right.
Long story short, sorry for those that are hoping for a CMYW, Hyperfuse and other colors that I don't have. :(

I understand your concern about the safety but I'm here to talk a little about it. I got my inspiration from custom made audio cables like those from Double Helix cables, Effect Audio and etc. Most of the case, you don't see them adding additional materials to cover it up.
First, it will sacrifice the flexibility of the cable, as for now my cables hold a certain shape because I braid them following the curve of the wires (almost any wire will have certain amount of "memory" unless you straighten it). if I am to add a layer of clear flexible heat shrink over it, it will never be as flexible as it is naked. Second, the cable is meant to use with keyboards and generally keyboards draw very small amount of power (I think, correct me if i'm wrong), so the concern of any leakage of electricity is negligible. Third, if you're concerned about durability. Yes, I have to admit exposing the wires is a little risky, if 2 strand of wires from the same connection point(carrying the same signal, ie, both the wires carrying the data signal)is broken, then it will stop working.
So, if you're having knives, scissors or any sharp materials that will potentially damage the cable lying around on your table, then I have to say it have the potential to damage your keyboard, keycaps and etc as well. Oh, don't forget if you have pets that like to chew things up.
Your point is good, just that it will have to forgo a few things to achieve that. And IF it is a huge concern for you, I think you will be better having a nice premium sleeved cable. Really appreciate your input :thumb:

Oh no it's all good. What about it does it make you assume that it's unsafe? I'm just a little curious, from my viewpoint it looks like a rather quality cable. Generally in a cable each individual wire has heat shrink around it and then one big heat shield to enclose all the wires. Rather than using one big heat shield to enclose all the wires, Calvin twists the wires similar to a rope to hold everything together and make a tight cable.

Seeing some "very very" reputable GH members getting into trouble by holding other people's money for months and so on drama just made me uneasy in my head as I'm really near to the date for fulfilling orders but no further progress at the customization phase. I couldn't sleep well with all the pressure. Hope the others understand my situation as well. Really sorry for ruining this sale.
