Leopold Fc660C With Rusted Plate: Is It A Big Deal?

I know a guy who is selling his Leopold FC660C at a very good price, with the caveat that the plate is all sorts of rusted.

Is it a deal-breaker? I don't plan to mod this keyboard in the future other than switching the keycaps.

The operation of they keyboard should be fine. But i don't know if it affects smoothness/sound. But i doubt it would feel any different then a non rusted one tbh. But in the long term rust will keep eating the metal away fyi.

Edit: Also there must have been some liquid spill on the keyboard or he lives in a very humid place all year long.

Thanks guys. Yeah I'm probably skipping this one. Feels like too much risk, and I know I won't be bothered enough to do the plate restoration.

hahah I own this keyboard actually.

It was actually pretty easy to restore, I pretty much followed the same process as what someone else had linked, the only issue I had was finding a primer since I don't speak Vietnamese, then I novatouched it.
