Update:

Hello everyone, I'm incredibly happy to be able present you with the final kitting update today (no major changes though):

The Dessert (Base Kit):
-replaced the r3 "pipe" key with r3 "~#" key
-fixed/converted "blank" 1u key in numpad into a 1u "+" key
-changed OS keys from "code" to "super"
-added r3 "PgUp"
-added r4 "PgDn"
-changed r4 "|" to "<>"
-removed second 1u "ctrl"

The Weeb Add-On (Hiragana Sublegends):
-added top right "ー" to the "-_ほ" key

Actually... those two changes together have made things worse. It should be R4 <> and R3 \| (English (US), terminal style); R4 \| and R3 #~ is the common "partial British support". The <>/#~ combo in the kit, as it stands now, makes no sense.

Agreed. The R3 key should be changed from #~ to \|. Additionally, the bottom row R4 \|む key in the hiragana kit should be changed to <>ろ so that the hiragana ISO keys match the regular ISO keys.

I would suggest making the character ever so slightly larger in the renders (make it the same relative size as the below it), so that it's completely conspicuous that it's using the correct mold with the larger character.

Hi, first of all, thank you to so much for bringing this dumb mistake to my attention.
I took the feedback from two different sources, without thinking about how they might contradict each other.
This was a really dumb/unthoughtful mistake, and again, I'm really sorry for the sloppy work.

I have just updated both, the Base and Hiragana Kit, to fit/actually make sense.

Although I went with the "R4 \|"and "R3 #~" (also for Hiragana) combo, since I much prefer it that way personally, and believe it to be more fitting.

Again, thank you so much for bringing this up to my attention and giving the useful feedback, I much appreciate it as always :thumb:

Please note that the R4 ISO key in hiragana should be regardless of whether the base legend is <> or \|. See this diagram and pay regard to the notes at the bottom.

You may also be interested in reading about the intricacies of choosing the ISO legends. I've written about this before here and also presented some statistics here. While I do make the case that \|, <> are objectively more consistent and more useful, keeping the legends that you have a strong personal preference for is fine and no one can fault you for that.

I just updated the hiragana kit to "R4 ろ"
Thank you so much for the great input, I really appreciate it!

I also read through what you sent me, and completely get that/am thankfull for all the info, I really am.
But I will still be sticking to it the way I currently have it, since I still believe in that option more personally, I hope you can understand that decision :)

Taking a look at the current extensions kit:

It's missing a few keys which are necessary to consummate support for the boards which it appears to be targeting. I suggest making it more similar to this kit. More specifically, I recommend making the following changes:
  • Add R2 1.75u Backspace — having 1.5u Enter requires this key to also be present.
  • Add R4 1.75u Lock — same as above.
  • Remove R4 1.25u Shift — there is already one in the base kit, so this one is redundant.
  • Add R3 1u Enter — for ortho layouts that don't put Enter on R4.
  • Add a second R4 1u Shift — same as above.
  • Change R3 1u Tab to a generic legend such as Code — this gives ortho users more versatility (a more detailed explanation can be found here).
  • Change R3 1.25u Enter to a generic legend such as Code — this gives 40s users more versatility, while not affecting existing compatibility negatively.

Also, please don't forget about this:
I would suggest making the character ever so slightly larger in the renders (make it the same relative size as the below it), so that it's completely conspicuous that it's using the correct mold with the larger character.

We are currently making some harsh decisions regarding the kits, which could lead to a lot of keys/or even kits being cut.
I will update you, as soon as we hear back from GMK (for the second round of quotes).

Update:

As many of you might already know, AuraMech has been in quite a lot of drama recently.
Because of that, we have mutually agreed, that it would be better, for everyone, to run this set with another vendor instead.

A bit more context (curtsy of the amazing Tyson):
I regret to inform everyone that we will be removing AuraMech from the vendors list mid buy. I apologize to anyone in Canada who was looking to buy it from a Canadian vendor. After some discussion with Space, we both are concerned about AuraMech as a vendor as there has not been any communication with him for anything related to the Group Buy since day 1, about 10 days have gone by and he has not responded to anything nor has he posted any numbers related to the group buy. Other concerns started to arise when we discovered that people in his discord are also having a hard time trying to reach Anthony (AuraMech). Then this post came out https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/jsofrm/caution_against_ordering_from_auramech/ raising more concern for him as a vendor. I have requested him to begin canceling all orders for Fundamentals on his site and apologize for this, as the designer of the set it was my responsibility to trust these vendors to do a good job in running the keyset on their sites. I feel that I have let you guys down and will work to make sure that the vendors that I work with are reliable and trustworthy.

That's why I am actually beyond happy, to be announcing today, that Ashkeebs just confirmed, that he indeed will be hosting the GB for this set!
Thank you so much for taking on this challenge, and coming in so incredibly clutch, you are truly amazing :thumb:

Hello friends, the current GB date keeps coming closer and closer, as are the updates. :)
So here is another one, which as of right now, will be the final, and also probably most hyped, Artisan collaboration for the set.

Yes, your eyes are not deceiving you; Keyforge will officially be crafting some custom Matcha Mocha coloured Artisans for the set!

Thank you so so much for making this collaboration possible, I've been dreaming of working together with you ever since I've gotten into the hobby!

Re: [IC] GMK Matcha Mocha | new US-Vendor! | GB delayed!

Update:

Hello everyone, today I got a huge update (although it's not the one I originally promised).

A few days ago now, I had been informed by Ragan, from SpaceCables, that he unfortunately, due to the, even after the second round of quotes from GMK, current price of the kits, plus/and most importantly currently relatively low demand for the set, would not be able to run this set.

Over the past few days I have been in talks with the amazing people behind Kono (which was actually the shop I bought my first ever keycap set from, back in the days), who have graciously agreed to step in, when I needed them the most, and help me bring this incredible dream of mine to live.

Because of that, the Group Buy for Matcha Mocha won't be able to start on Dec 1st, as we originally planned, but instead, will most likely have its new starting date on January the 19th (2021).

We are currently still speaking with all the other vendors, if that date would work for their schedule as well, and I will let you guys know, as soon as I got any news on it!

Until then, sorry for all the inconveniences and stay save!

I will update you with the pricing information, once I've received it from all the vendors (probably somewhere in the beginning of January).
Until then, stay safe, and happy holidays!

So, tomorrow, on the 6th of January, the first raffle, containing their Felix, Sirius and Ursa sculpts will go live!
After it's starting time at 09:00 am ICT / 02:00 am GMT / 09:00 pm EST the form will stay open for 6 hours.
The second raffle, containing their Bull V2 and Voidwalker sculpts will go live at the same time, but on January the 9th!

I hope you all are as stoked as I am, and already, good luck to everyone entering the raffle/s. :thumb:

Hi!
So, I saw than there recently was some confusion about which vendor would proxy the Rama-Artisan for the US-Region, since Kono doesn't offer Rama caps:
Actually, Rama themselves will offer the Artisan on their own page, so either that, or Ashkeebs, would definitely be the best choice for my fellow American folks :)

Please feel free to let me know if there are still any other open questions that are yet to be answer, I'd love to help!

Cheers!

Hi, the pricing is set at a MOQ of 250.
The reason why the cost is relatively high, compared to some other sets nowadays, is because both of the colours have yet to be matched by GMK, which increases the work on their site and due to that, also raises the price up quite a bit.
I hope I could somehow help you out, please feel free to let me know if you got any more questions :thumb:

I second this, maybe with the cheaper kitting people will be more willing to give this funky colorway a shot.
