Filco Majestouch MX Red Low - any opinions?
« on: Mon, 14 March 2022, 09:50:19 »
Despite it's been on the market for some time I couldn't find any reliable opinions on this particular keyboard (https://www.diatec.co.jp/en/det.php?prod_c=4040).

I'm not satisfied with my KUL ES-87 which is my first ever mechanical keyboard. Its case and caps profile are way too high and brown switches have this scratchy feeling I don't prefer. Filco should be the perfect fit for my needs but I'm not convinced about its high quality. I'd love to have it in white/grey color scheme and that's a bummer they are available only in black.

This isn't going to be much different than just replacing keycaps on the ES-87 with lower profile caps, like Leopold step sculpture 2 or Cherry profile. You need a design that does NOT use cherry style stems. These switches and design are inherently taller than what you want.

I'd suggest some other mechanical design like Keychron ultra slim that uses a different stem design than traditional Cherry
