[IC] Brown ISO Enter for SA True Retro
« on: Mon, 22 June 2015, 09:30:47 »
Hi everybody
European members facetsesame and flamf have teamed up to offer the chance to buy a matching brown ISO enter keys to go with SA True Retro!

Only a lime ISO enter was made available in the CtrlAlt buy, so this is your chance to get the key to complete your set for ISO.

This will be a very limited offer, with a maximum of 25 keys manufactured.

We have a price quote from SP and the maximum price will be around US $9.50 excluding shipping. Note that this price includes import into the EU. Final price will be reduced if someone in the US can assist with shipping and we gather enough interest.

If you can help, or you'd just like some keys, let us know!

These are inspirational keys in the relevant colours in DCS profile alongside a blue SA profile key.103952-0

Do we have any say on the alignment? I do like the DCS pictured above with the text in the center of the upper lobe rather than the SA one.

Great question.  The intention is for the text vertically aligned with the centre of wider, top row of the key, just like the DCS cap pictured.

This is consistent with the design for the lime key.  SP have made ISO enters with this legend alignment for other buys, so I'm sure this will be fine.

That sound great electronicnub.
You're looking at taking delivery from Signature Plastics and breaking down into probably no more than 8-12 parcels all going to the EU.
I'll stay in touch.

I'm interested in 3. I'm really sceptical that I will like the lime enter so this is a nice opportunity to get something else.

Update:
We've got show of hands for 15 of the caps so far, including organizers.
Also, a friendly US member has offered to assist with shipping, so we can probably take import duties out of the picture.
We should be sorted by the end of next week and put the order in at SP, with a production time of 8-12 weeks and  then ship and re-ship.

Yes, just a bit of shutdown and Holidays keeping us off.
We're working things out with thelectronicnub, who has very kindly offered to handle shipping and payment collection. He's got an ongoing buy demanding his attention right now (MX Locks), so as soon as that is cleared we'll get this going. Orders for his buy closed yesterday, July 6th, so within the next week or two we should have this organised and priced out.

Price should be in the range of 7-8.5$/cap + 7-8$ shipping and handling.

We've got 9 keycaps left between us two organizers if everyone follow through, so if anyone is interested in 1 or 2 more, let us know.

cheers

Hi everyone
Looking forward to receiving SA Retro over here :D
Regarding this add-on, Signature Plastics are backed up with orders on their SA tooling until end of August, giving us a slot for this the first week of September.
So we'll start collection probably in a few weeks time, which also gives theelectronicnub good time to get his previous business out of the way.

We're confirmed for 25 caps @6.27$, excluding shipping from SP, but should come out at around 7$ a piece.

thelectronicnub will let us know in details regarding confirmation and payment in due time.

cheers

Hi guys, it's still very on. We got pushed back, because of the lack of brown plastic and more recently Carbon SA. But facetsesame has taken it upon him to order and pay upfront for the whole lot of 25, so expect an update soonish.

theelectronicnub, who will kindly be taking care of distribution and shipping from the US will receive all 25 keys as soon as SP can make them.
We'll set up a registration and payment form, once we have a confirmed order with SP.

Cheers

Hi guys, hope you're enjoying your sets out there! And if you're still waiting just hang in there for a tiny bit.
Now, I also just received my Brown ISO keys, and there's a quite obvious issue:
116277-0

We DID order the keys with the correct text 'RETURN', so the error is on Signature Plastics. I'm fairly certain that we're entitled to replacements free of charge, and facetsesame, who handled the whole business with SP, will get in touch with them ASAP.
Unfortunately, shipping to participants is on our end, so you'll have to cover the cost of this yourselves. I'm hoping the we can talk theelectronicnub into helping us out again, since he did a fantistic job handling. I got my enter keys 6 days after the set, so I'm no rush to get the accurate keys and I'm guessing we'll have to be patient (still) as there is no shortage of SA action over at SP ;)

Oh shoot. It is Friday and it is late... For some strange reason I filled out the replacement form. My mistake as I have not received my cap. Then it struck me. Did I even sign the original form? I know I expressed interest by posting a reply in this thread. Is there anyway of checking if I filled out the original form?
