Ugh, me stupid

So yeah, I saw a 122-key M on ebay for $40 shipped and I thought, "Wow, great deal! *click*". Then checked the model # and realized it's a terminal board.




I'm asking the seller if he can cancel the transaction, but I doubt it. So yeah, I've got a terminal Model M on the way. Modding time? How many people have done the terminal-to-PS/2 conversion mod? Mine's a 1389162.

I have, but I never got it to work as well as Kevin (Kishy). I also have a Boscom, which is PC compatible 122 key and ultimately I found the experience to be unsatisfying due to the non-PC layout of the keys in the 'cursor movement' block to the right of the typing area.

YMMV, however...

Will the many keys at least report in Windows? They could find some use. Gaming keyboard kinda.

He's going to let it sit, no bad feelings or feedback. I actually had to educate him on AT v. XT v. Terminal protocols. He didn't know that AT was adaptable to PS/2, and that not all DIN-5 keyboards are the same protocol.

Sorry for the confusion, Kevin: I was talking about the Boscom 122-key PC-compatible. On that one, the 'extra' keys report as combinations of normal keypresses, rather than unique scancodes.
