My first mechanical, advice?
« on: Thu, 28 October 2010, 14:55:35 »
Hi everyone, I've had some very good advice from some of you already about different keyboards.  I've decided I'm going to buy the Das model S Professional UK.  I will be ordering this at midnight tonight (GMT) unless anyone can give me good reason not to buy it.

I've never owned one but I've heard good things. Seems like a sound choice.

Be sure to post pics when you get it!

Umm, I meant why make a glossy/shiny keyboard.. it will always look dirty unless you've just cleaned it. Like he did..

Same reason I like to keep my phone back clean, or my watch band, or my mouse pad a consistent tone - it just looks better that way.

You'll definitely love the tone of the keyboard.  You'll really feel like you're getting somewhere while you type on it.  I've been thinking about ordering a brown cherry board at some point, just to switch things up.

Me too.  I want to know who you have picked for this weekend.  I'm taking Cincinnati over the the Dolphins by 10.

I went with Indy for the spread. I'm #2 in my pool so far. Go Indy!
