saw this too, looked a bit roughed up but those things are basically indestructible, so you should be fine :)

I got one of these from didjamatic a few weeks ago NIB. It's nice. Quite sturdy as well.

Yeah, it's definitely been used. Was thinking of getting a clear (or red) Deck 82 casing for it for $15 if it looks super scratched in person.

My TG3 BL82 was 22.50 - you win!

I think you win...my C and print screen key switches (where the key presses on) are broken. Not hard to fix, but still requires some work.

Write an email to the TG3 people asking how to get replacement key caps for your specific keys. Include your postal address. They sent me three replacement keys (TAB, F9 and right arrow) for free.

I'll try since the switches are broken off in the keys but because the switches themselves are broken, I have to do something about that too.

Simple.
Just ask about where you can get switches, too. They might just send keycaps AND switches :D

Better yet, also ask if they have some sort of tutorial/guide on how to replace a broken switch (you could add some nifty line to the tune off "since being able to change a single broken switch is one of the key selling points of mechs, I am sure there has to be a way").
They might just offer you to send it in and do the fix for you.

I read Forum articles in the Deck forum where folks had this situation and they just had to pay for the postal service.

One guy however had to pay for the full repair because according to Deck his keyboard was full of ashes and "debris" from smoking, which voids the warranty according to Deck ;)

Unfortunately the switches are plate-mounted. So soldering will be required...

Well what I was planning on doing (if TG3 doesn't want to help me out) is just buy two new switches from mouser and just take the plunger piece from the new switches and install them in my current switches. Problem solved (unless this wouldn't work for some unforeseen reason).

On that model the switches should be PCB mounted not plate mounted, however you still need to desolder and remove the switch to fix because of the LED.

My bad. Mine looks the same but it's a BL82B-X3344C, not a BL82E-5RBUVS like the one in the auction.

Haha.  Where's Ricercar?

And to add insult to injury I just opened it up and the switches are, in fact, plate mounted.

I must be going senile...

Yeah RicerCar reported it was PCB and I jumped all over his ass.  Never saw a pic.

I posted one when you mocked me. Also admitted I was wrong. saying Deck was plate

TG3 = Plate mounted; Deck =  PCB mounted.

Plate is considered to be better from a build quality standpoint. It makes the cherry switches louder though.
