MKC will have at least 6 pieces made by the end of this month. He might have a bit more depending on the scrappage rate. I'll let him sending out these cases to those who first made the payments.
The second batch of production will start at the end of this month as well. I guess it takes about 2-3 weeks to finish the production. I'll let you know when I get the confirmation from MKC.

Does anyone know if this aluminum case fits the KBT Pure Pro? I just picked up the new KBT Pure Pro from Massdrop and I want to grab an aluminum case for it. You'll have to remove the key caps to get to the screws. The best way to explain it is to show you a picture.

Simply unscrew the 6 screws and slide the PCB out of the plastic case.

I sent him a PM about the same thing, because others who ordered (purple) after me had already been marked shipped, while mine hadn't. He said it's because they had paid for the direct shipping from MKC, while I had paid for the proxy shipping from feng, and he was still awaiting the cases to arrive.

Disappointed by the condition of the feet; very unlike the feet that came with the first case which was unmarked and without any dents.Ouch, that looks pretty bad... If you can snap a picture with something neutral in the shot (like a white / grey sheet of paper) I could try to white balance with PS/LR; not always perfect but can usually make it a bit more color accurate.

It takes a bit to get accustomed to GHT (GeekHack Time). I thought the Toxic key set might take a few weeks, for example. Soon© is a relative term here.

Luckily, there were no scratches on the case and the feet match with no weird marks on it.
I saw some posts here with people who had scratches and bad colors on the feet.
I should have taken a picture of the packaging. It was about one layer of bubble wrap around the case. I think it should have had two or three layers. The box was crushed in appearance when I first got it. I thought the case was going to be really scratched considering the box looked like it went through hell. But, the case survived with no damage.
I've got the first batch on hand for US orders (USPS Priority). Will ship them out this week.

@MKULTRA - did your order come from Feng, or did you go direct?Well I was supposed to be in the first batch which went out over a month ago but MKC screwed up my anodizing and it was darker than it should have been. Feng ended up getting me a new one and selling the defect case. I did order direct, however I'm not sure if that impacted anything.

I think a better solution would just be to know when it's going out since it's been literally months.
I still have 3-4 cases waiting to ship. I'll ship them out tomorrow. Sorry for the delay on these few cases because I got many school stuffs going on this week.
Unexpected package showed up at work today - imagine my surprise when it turned out to be the MKC case! The Claret Red is every bit as brilliant and stunning as the sample photos lead me to believe.... will post pictures once I get it home! :thumb:

There were no scratches, or dings in the case and I'm thrilled with the color. It's a really nice, deep red. Compared to the Hammer 60% that came out about the same time, this case is considerably lighter. I don't think that is a bad thing. The weight without feet is 307g. The Duck Poker case without brass weights is 956g. I like having a lighter aluminum case for this keyboard, but if you're expecting a super heavy aluminum case, you will be disappointed.Dang, that sucker is light... which might not be a bad thing (I shudder at the thought of trying to lug the Hammer case around in a bag)
This is a minor issue, but one I hope to resolve. With my other aluminum cases, there has been a liner, but this case didn't come with one. I don't expect a thin layer of shelf liner to be a game changer, but it's worth exploring. My plan is to find some matting or padding that I can install in the bottom of the case to help deaden the resonance. If anyone has any suggestions on what to use, please feel free to throw me a suggestion.I found the liner is pretty identical to the material used to line the bottoms of kitchen cabinets/shelf (at least the ones I found at Target)

I have received my case as well though I am the only one who ordered traffic blue and got claret red instead , I love the claret red and it matches my new rog rig so I intend to keep it to makes things easy for feng as well as hoping to get the discount for the moq. Case is in perfect condition also . A happy man :)

Mine did not come with screws for the PCB either. I used the same ones that came from my Poker X.
If you don't have another case that you're transferring from then you'll want to buy M2-4mm (0.4mm pitch) machine screws to mount the PCB to the case. McMaster-Carr part #92000A011 (http://www.mcmaster.com/#catalog/119/3019/=p920wf).
