So if a shill bid wins an auction, it just gets re-listed? EBay goes both wayd, sometimes items sell for more than they are worth, sometimes less. It all depends on who sees it, and how bad they want something. There is also user error where people bid wrong and all kinds of things.

in this case i'm just referring to the fact that there were 16 bids, but 15 of them were only between two accounts, with one of them having one feedback (and the other bid was at $51). then you look at the other auctions that ran at the same time and see a trend of the same account involved (0***E) bidding things up way beyond their normal value, but never actually winning (or actually participating in the final seconds of bidding, they always cap out 20-30 mins before the end). examples:

so you have to toss out the sell value here because it's obviously just an instance of a desperate buyer getting murked by some auction troll, and not really indicative of a standard market participant (there would be more bidders if it were). and then again, that mx noxious sitting (possibly) unsold on the highest visibility market (r/mm) for 24+ hours at ~$315 tells way more about where the market is at than the auction (even tho it was listed at **** time).

Hoots are extremely tough to get a hold of and I think you're best bet getting one is trading for one.  Don't know about the kosmo though.

I am wrestling with the Idea of selling my R1 KK HHKB mods in Triumphant Teal with the Boombox. I think there are only 5 complete sets IIRC so it is hard to get a good Idea of fair market value. It's worth a lot more than that (about 10x that or more to some) if it's the Alps SKCM Salmon version with PBT caps. Look to see if it's "Made in the USA," if it is, the chances are very high that it's got PBT and salmons.

Keep in mind, that QF Pro/Ultimate has the other spacebar-row spacing (i.e., NOT 1.25u modifiers & 6.25u spacebar) and the stock caps are mediocre.

Furthermore, new-ish gaming keyboards like this aren't uncommon in that price range.

I notice the "new" price on HHKB's have gone up quite a bit since I bought mine, no doubt due to the UK referendum on the EU earlier in the year affecting the £. New prices are £225! Ebay prices are into the £300's! (AND there would be import tax on top!)

Its a tricky one I would personally say £250 as few people seem to be buying the HHKBs listed anyway nowadays due to the Bluetooth model and if they do most buy them via a proxy rather than ebay prices, I would generally say £250 is reasonable if it is mostly new (No shine and what not) but I expect it to sit a while without selling honestly

you could always get a Hasu controller to do the remapping with, those run around the $50 mark which would allow you to remap the entire thing too
