I have a Playbook, and I regret getting it.

Especially since RIM (I guess they are called Blackberry now) decided to not bring the latest OS to the Playbook after promising to do so. :P

I have a 9930 for my main mobile phone, a 16GB Playbook for the kids and a 64GB Playbook for myself (it is the main device I browse the web with).  I love the gesture control in the OS, as compared the home and back buttons in 'droid / iOS.  I have an iPad4 and a Nexus 7 in the office that basically collect dust.

My wife used to be a die-hard BlackBerry fan.  But last year I got her a Samsung Galaxy S3, and she never looked back.  She recently said she has no idea why she clung to BlackBerry so long.  Back in '99 (last century, heh), BlackBerry was awesome.   But now?  No comparison with Samsung and Apple.  FWIW, Nokia fell off the map as well.

I saw someone with a Blackberry on the train this morning, but it just looked like he was using it as a wireless access point for his tablet.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I use one for the 24/7 support I do. It's ok. But I only use it to get some messages when there's a problem and call back the client. At least the battery can last me a week when I don't get much calls.

And it's my only and first cellphone  :p
