finally, congrats rama! can't wait!
Wow, that price point is incredible! The M10 looks fantastic, congratulations Rama. I'm really tempted to get one even though I can't solder, just going to have to get a friend or someone else to do it for me - I'm assuming pre-assembled is not going to be an option?
Thank you for all the work you've put in!
Sweet.
I guess I'll have to get this too to match the M4 :thumb:
Yeah dude, I'm so happy with the price point we got it to, I was always aiming for $120. And this is including everything you need too!! There's an assembled variant for $8 extra :)
Cheers mate!

OH, we in there 100% then, probably going to order a couple, one for the wife and one for myself, perfect! Price is beyond great yea and cheers for offering assembly, honestly, that helps a ton for people who are a little inept (or just lazy) like myself.
Hopefully there's a tiny gap between this launching and the JC65 coming out haha, wallet needs a breather!
Awww awesome! Thanks heaps dude :)
Yeah there should be a tiny gap between the two, jchan should be receiving the first sample next week I think! :)

Yea I'd seen he should be getting the sample some time soon, exciting times! Glad to hear there should be a tiny gap, they'll look so good next to each other! Now I just need to decide on colours, always the hardest part!
Joined the drop!
Pledged @ $99.99, let's go guys!
Very good design. :thumb:
I may just have to jump on the separate numpad bandwagon with this one.
Joined...can't wait for a big brother for my M4-A!!
Looks so freaking clean Rama. <3
woohoo, i just ordered one of these beautiful rama pads in space grey. and 416 units ordered so far, wow! go rama go.
Whyyyy MD :(
Is it possible for you to ship directly to me so it can be undervalued? :D
Was the only way to bring it to market, I'm just not well placed here in AUS to meet the demand :( And to get it to that price point as well X_X
Unfortunately not bro, all the units are not passing through my hands - wish I could help out. Only way is to get it through MD :p

But but now we have to wait!
Hey Rama - is there any practical way i (or maybe a special shop could) can recolor the silver M10-A to the offwhite color you have, so it matches the case of white hhkb, without potentially ruining it or the finish? Super excited to get it but the color difference wont be ideal #firstworldproblems

Yeah for sure, a few automotive shops or specialist powder coating places should be able to do it for you :) I've used paint shops quite a bit here in Melbourne, especially during my University years for models/prototypes. You can just give them anything and they'll paint it - Only the outer surfaces would have to be painted as well - fairly easy :)
Else, if you're good at spraypainting you can lay down a good primer then try it out yourself :P
Cheers :)

Thanks man! Looking forward to some hhkb love in 2017!! Rama + anything remotely hhkb = instabuy.
Hey rama
Q1) about to get my M4A powder coated - do you happen to know what color that hhkb white is you used? Not sure if there is an accepted color code or something for it instead of shoving my keeb in their face.
Q2) Also since i know you are busy af, i will put this here too. Do you (or anyone else) know offhand whether holtite sockets fit the M10 and M4 pcb?
Thabks duuude!!
I always just assumed you had color matched it to your hhkb for some reason. Yah though, the prototype is what i was referring to. Keebs and keycaps have made me realize how awful i am at judging colors hah.
Don't worry about the holtite question actually. I was thinking you may have known offhand. I already have a sack of them in route for the m4a so i will know soon enough.
holtite sockets do NOT fit.
Yeah really not a big deal man - already soldered everything anyhow. I should have actually looked up sizes before ordering hah.
One other question, is there anything i can do to stabilize the 2u keys? I put an two SA 2u on and they both shot off because i hit the key on the sides (where they have no switch). I put two DSA caps on there instead and they are fine so this could be an issue with the actual SA keys themselves but either way curious about stabilizing.
What's the likelihood of a second run in the future? Please...? Pretty please...??
PS we want the spinner!!
edit: the Mill Max do not seem to have a groove for press fit -- so they need to be soldered to the board to act as a hot swap socket right?

Very likely! :)
Spinner is coming, looks like hopefully next month :D
As for the Mill Max socket, it has a flange so I'm assuming it sits flush - then yeah I guess you solder it, but I'm not too sure. I'll see if machine has an answer :)

Birthday is April 11th, feel free to release the spinner and the m-6A minipad on that day ;D ;D
Any updates on the M10-A GB?

Thanks! I got kinda worried since Massdrop didn't drop an update. :thumb:Any updates on the M10-A GB?

Not shipped yet :(
Rama, i am sad i missed this. Will there be any extras available or will i have to search second hand?
Cheers!
Mine just shipped from Massdrop! I ordered a M10-A with clear switches, so I think it was supposed to be delayed slightly due to issues sourcing the switches.
I'm pretty excited about this, because the CNC and finish looks amazing on the M10-A compared to most macropads/numpads. Except for my M4-A... :)

Oh man!!! Cannot wait for you to get your hands on it!
By the way, latest configurator can be downloaded here: https://github.com/machineindustries/configurator/releases
Post some pics when you get it :)

Was this gorgeous work a one-off good sir or will there be a second run?
Edit: oops sorry I'm impatient, saw your answer a few replies back, can't wait :D
I'm really really hoping to score this and have it next to a M65-A (if I can get ahold of it!) You make gorgeous stuff!!
aw ye it finally came. I friggin love it. gonna go play some overwatch with it. :thumb:
Duuuuude,
The TMX-INJECTOR looks amazing.. I guess that would replace a :~$ynth and has a built-in box so no need for legos right? I've been wanting to get into cap making, that looks great!
A bit sad to see no Goblin color on these SAs but sweet nonetheless. I'll go for a Moon. I don't suppose there'd be anyway to combine with the Goblin key I also bought? Not really a big deal, but thought I'd ask heh.

came as a surprise as i haven't paid customs yet :o
quality is nice, there are some machining marks, and i received 8 switches (instead of 10) but otherwise a nice product and i'm happy i joined
Hey rama the top left hex bolt on the bottom doesn't tighten anymore... The corresponding screw hole on the top piece of the metal housing shed some type of coating and now the threads don't catch the hex bolt when i try and screw it in. It sounds like i am grinding something when i screw in the other ones and I am really concerned this will happen to them too... What is that and how can I fix this?
thanks for the response! I will get some compressed air in there to clean out the others to prevent what happened to the stripped hole. Can you tell me the size of the hex bolts or a reference so that i can go buy a longer bolt for the stripped hole? the threads at the bottom are still in tact but with the size of the bottom body piece, the original bolt is not long enough to reach l.

They're M3! I think you are supplied with M3x8, so anything longer then that should be sweet :) hope that helps!
Just wanna say mine just arrived, no time to play around with it tonight but unboxed it and it looks perfect

They're M3? Uhhhhhhh... I thought they were M3.5/M4 as my M3 screws don't work with it.

100% M3 screws, 0.5MM pitch, guaranteed! Not using DIN screws or something?

Hexagon A/F (aka the size of hex key you need) is different, guess I didn't notice before ;D
hit me with that round 2 Rama!

I suppose round 2 will have the same pcb as the round1 or there are improvements? (please! let us know for us looking on second hand markets... or wait until r2!)
